Put on your walking shoes and be prepared to view nature, plants and birds I've never seen the likes of before. Beautifully manicured and well-kept. A must visit!

I have been to many gardens all over the world. This is A1 no doubt about it. Don't miss this! If you don't want to walk, take the tram ride. Spend as much time as you can and check out the cool gift shop and coffee bar!

The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is and should be up there with some of the best gardens and parks in the world. Beautiful, serene and charming. We saw many residents, reading on the benches, sitting on the grass chatting away - leaving the weight of the city behind. A perfect way to end the day, week or a vacation.

The Botanic Gardens are a delightful haven of peace in the middle of Melbourne. The majestic lawns, tranquil lakes and superb collection of plants are a beautiful place to spend a few hours or a whole day. The only blot on its copy book is the woeful service at The Terrace eatery. On a busy Sunday it can take for... More

Accessible to city but once your inside it feels like the city doesn't exist, very tranquil with lots of lawn area for reading, relaxing or romance in the sun. Also the cafe is there is you feel like becoming part of humanity again, otherwise just lose yourself amongst the flora.

Such a lovely day out. We spent a few hours roaming the paths of the gardens and then sat down by the stream for a drink. Nice relaxing day out 🌸

One of our favourite places to wander and enjoy in Melbourne. Caters for families as well as those just wanting a city escape. Gorgeous lake with water birds lots of nooks and quiet places to relax under a tree. Great spot for a picnic, and a cafe if you want it.

We love to visit the Botanic Gardens - Melbourne is blessed with its parks and gardens. The ride in the gondola boat was fun. We could take a friend in a wheelchair that we could hire at the gardens - he loved being able to get out and about.
