Highly recommend for families, thousands of sea spices to look at. Huge tanks gives you that under water feeling.

We just visited the Sea Life Aquarium Melbourne. Admission is quite pricey at AUD40.50 and AUD26 for adults and older than 4 year old children respectively, though there's also a Family of 4 price package. The tickets as sold on the Aquarium’s web site permits a single visit over the course of 7 days, and you have the option of... More

Great place to see aslong as you dont meet a school group. Very expensive price to pay for over-excited screaming children the whole way around the aquarium. Either need to make school groups smaller and have more control or let patrons know there is a group going through as it is not an enjoyable experience with 60 odd young screaming... More

I decided to take my niece and nephew for a day out , whilst there were some enclosures which held their attention, it feels like we reached the end far too quickly - straight into the overpriced gift shop & out the door in less than 1 hour. Wouldn't hurry back & wouldn't recommend to anyone else, way way too... More

The kids loved it, I thought it was pretty good, an expensive attraction as they all are. The line to get in was ridiculous. I suggest you buy your tickets online so you can walk straight in. People were standing on the street in the cold which was crazy. We parked across the road as suggested by their website, prepaid... More

Very expensive for what it is. Thought the crocodile enclosure was below par but most of the others seemed well cared for. Impressive breeding program with the leafy sea dragons which was the highlight

I love my aquariums but would have to say this one is pretty average compared to others. We love going to aquariums and have been to quite a few... This one is better than the one in Sydney, seems better maintained or newer but the queue was over an hour long in the Melbourne winter cold with bored small children. The counter is infuriating/frustrating because of at least one bored and slightly dim woman who was not... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
