We went there with a friend in a wheelchair. The access and ability to get around was very easy and accessible. Greta position, in the city, with loads of public transport opportunities. Don't try to drive there - parking is very expensive & rare during the week.

A great adventure for our young family especially in some cold and windy weather. My son loved the little kids activity pack and particularly enjoyed finding all the checkpoints to stamp his little activity passport. Loved the penguin feeding and seeing so many types of fish up close. Easy to get around even with a 1 and 3 year old.... More

I recently took my 6 year old to the Melbourne Sealife Aquarium. As you would expect, it had a wonderful diversity of sea creatures in interesting displays and my son is still talking about the "Port Jackson sharks" and the "Lion Fish" etc. There's loads of species and different displays to keep people of all ages mesmerized for the best... My 6 year old & I took our overseas visiting Grampy, Aunty & Uncle for the trip. As usual we spent an enjoyable few hours wandering around the exhibits. Rhiannon's favourites are the seahorses, all the colourful coral and now she is older the "tube" as she calls it where you can see the sharks and rays close up. Always... More

There is a tram stop right out the front of it. It was a bit expensive but once you enter you see why. The set up is very beautiful, easy to navigate and just so interesting. I recommend for anyone who loves sea life :)

My wife and I were in honeymoon when we came here. We have fun seeing different species of fish. Sea life also highlights the cute penguins and huge crocodiles. It is nice to see these in the city.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
