Interesting snapshot of Melbourne's history based on events at the time

The facts aren't hard facts, yet provide for some interesting insights and lengthy lunch or dinner conversations when people (interested in Melbourne's history) get together and share their experience; from the Cup Day Police Strike to the Tasty Nightclub raids where the court awarded $4 million in damages to the patrons against Victoria Police. Interesting tour to be done at Melbourne's CBD, and you have a week to complete once ordered.

Melbourne - True Secrets Tour

It's a tour, self paced with an app to guide you through the city.

It's quite good, professional actors and actresses provide a scene relating to each location along with background information and bonus material.

I mapped the tour on Google and it's about 2.6km long. It took me about 2 hours including the time taken to stop and listen at each location. I suppose if you hopped a tram you could cut down your walking but where's the fun in that?

A very entertaining way to spend an afternoon while exploring the city.

Would have been great to access the tunnels.

you can download the app for free and if yo u enjoy tour (which you will) you pay extra too get more of tour. quirky self tour of Melbourne thats very unique

Whilst in the City nearly four months ago I was approached by one of the creators of this app and directed to send them more information via email for free beta testing. After four months I am still waiting and have given over information such as phone type, phone number, make, model, OS version etc. Can't help but suspect it is some sort of scam.

The strangest tour I have ever been on!

We had a break in the rain on Saturday, so my dad and I decided to do the Strange Tour of Melbourne's Secret Past. It gave us both a fascinating insight into the city we thought we knew so well. I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and different to do in Melbourne.

Very interesting, fun date night

We decided to so something different on our date night, and chose the walking tour. It was interesting, funny and got us discussing Melbourne! Also makes you look up and enjoy our beautiful buildings.
Can't wait to do the Crime Tour now!

Informative and entertaining use of technology

A good marriage of mobile phone technology and interest in historical activities around Melbourne. Allows for participation at own pace. Families should enjoy this sort of activity because of the 'investigative' nature which makes learning fun.
