Thank you Vintrekker for a well prepared, indepth and joyous tour in discovering the beauty of Victoria. It's been 3 days since the tour and my partner and I cannot stop raving about our experience. Rob was our guide for the day and he was perfect! Not only was he filled with knowledge of the area, the vineyards and wines; he was a great conversationalist and humourous. The day was never dull with him, so it was sad to say goodbye at the end of the day. My partner and I normally spend our anniversary overseas, but due to the pandemic this isn't possible. This tour was the perfect way to remind us of the beauty of our home state. If you are looking for a way to staycay, I'd highly recommend Vinetrekker to be the pioneer of your schedule. Rob if you are reading this: Thank you for spending the day with us! We can't wait to see your surfing dog! If you are researching and interested in the itenerary of the day: Our day started with lovely Rob greeting and preparing us for the day. After a long car ride filled with lots of conversation and laughter, we arrived at Healesville Sanctuary, where a sanctuary tour guide had been arranged. This added an in-depth dimension of the sanctuary experience. The guide described each animal, their stories, their origins, descriptions and any other information that we may never had known if we didn't have them with us. This included the anecdote of how the pelicans were never part of the sanctuary, but they decided to make the sanctuary their home and are now permanant squatters with their own signs. After Healesville Sanctuary, we had lunch at Yering Station. What a beautiful place to be! My partner and I always felt awkward when tour operators ate on a table alone, so we were relieved when Rob ate with us. We had great conversation, which included the history and architecture of the vineyard and the surrounding land. Lunch was then followed by a wine tasting. The somelier provided thorough education of the wine, it's characteristics and history. Happily full and loaded up on wine from Yering Station, we proceeded to the last stop at De Bortoli vineyard. There we had a full wine tasting with matching cheese. What a perfect way to an Aussies heart: wine and cheese. I found this tasting greatly educational and beneficial if you are looking to understand wine. Jess was very accommodating and was always more than happy to answer all my questions.

Wow Michelle, that's some review ! We're not surprised you hit it off with Rob. He's incredibly caring, knowledgeable and personable and contrubutes a lot to the day. The pandemic has certainly thrown our travel plans up in the air but we're fortunate to have so much beauty within Victoria to take in. The Healesville Sanctuary and Yarra Valley are so easily accessible from Melbourne and offer world class experiences. Thanks again for booking with us and we hope to see you again before too long.

We pride ourselves on having knowledgeable and personable guides who enhance their guests experience. The tour offers plenty of contrast and there's a good variety of wines and style to taste. Lunch at Yering Station is a highlight and the new autumn menu is impressive. Thanks for your support and hopefully we'll get the opportunity to arrange another wine and food tour for you before too long.
