Wonderful trip. Deserves the five star rating. The department jetty change but I was notified well in advance. Absolutely no issues with anything. The sea were nice to us today making the ride enjoyable. Plenty of time with the seals. Who were a pleasure to watch. on the way back Bill and Phil brought around cake. Thanks to all the team (the captain, lockie and whoever i missed) for a great day. It is a must do activity

We had a magic early autum day to explore the waters around Wilson’s promontory and calm seas. We saw emus, sea eagles, playful seals and salmon chasing bait balls of small fish competing with terns and seagulls. Seeing the light house, the emerald color of the water, skull island and getting ashore at refuge cove were all highlights. The food was tasty and plentiful and a gluten free meal was well catered for. The crew and captain were friendly and knowledgeable. A perfect day outside.

Yesterday we finally realised an adventure we had been dreaming of for several decades. I knew I’d never walk to the beautiful secluded Refuge Cove, climb up to the lighthouse or have a close up look at Skull Rock, any other way. The 9 hour trip included two hours at Refuge Cove, lunch in a secluded bay near the lighthouse, a close view of the seal colony and the ultimate- close enough to touch, up close view of Skull Rock (Cleft island), cloaked in sea missed, the mysterious rock looked like something from Raiders of the Lost Ark. The crew were excellent on every level and served delicious healthy food and treats plus plenty drinks. Tip- I recommend taking travel sickness tablets as it’s a long trip if you feel unwell. They worked for us when the morning swell was a bit challenging before it settled down.
