Since the webb bridge has re-opened I have noted that it has become very slippery when wet. This morning I slipped and fell coming down the ramp. The sand they put down works very well as sand paper and ripped open my trousers and my knee. A cyclist stopped to help and said he did the same thing the day before. Suspect there are others who think its become dangerous in the wet.

This bridge is nice to look at but a little dangerous to cross. There are no clear lanes for walkers vs bikers and the riders are always going too fast. Having young kids walking with you makes you think there is about to be an accident any second. All that said, you get amazing views of the Bolt bridge and the bay from the middle of the Webb bridge.

Quite a nice footbridge that crosses the Yarra. Looks to be half completed mind you, but quite nice to walk across.

I had to cross the Webb Bridge today to attend a Seminar. The walk across in the morning I had walked past the water to arrive at it - standing on it you have spectacular views of the Yarra River . At the end of my day I crossed it on the return and walked through a lovely children’s park . Architecturally it’s quite beautiful... it’s meant to be an analogy of Koori fishing traps and the winding river below. It’s a lovely bridge to traverse ...the whole area is quite lovely. It’s great to see bicyclists sharing the area.

This very ornate pedestrian bridge is a great way to cross the Yarra River. You can meander across at your own pace or as some people do you can run across.
