I visit max therapy melbourne central on a monthly basis since 2019.
Candy is my favorite massager who performs professionally with all the techniques. My back pain and neck pain is eased every time after the visit to Max Therapy. People there are nice, friendly and warm like family. Such a enjoyable experience with them :)

I have been going to the Melbourne Central branch on and off in the past 4 years for remedial therapy to ease chronic neck and back tension (I work a desk job in IT).

90% of the time, I have the same therapist (since 2016). The remedial process is always targeted at my problem areas and will feel uncomfortable at times, but she will tone the pressure down if I cannot bear it.

I always feel amazing afterward, with reduced tightness in neck shoulders back and arms.

P.s. Remedial massage is not a relaxation massage, if you have been to Thai style vigorous massage before this is a little similar. I have not tried the relaxation massage at MT

I did the 70 minutes hot oils and hot stones massage.
The massage was great and very relaxing but once I got home I saw the hot stones burned my back leaving 2 big marks. I hope they go away with time.
It was a cold winter morning and the the place was cold and there was good atmosphere at all.
I wouldn’t go back there.

We got a Group on voucher to try out that place while we were down in Melbourne for a weekend.
Staff there couldn't speak a word of English and started just pointing at things for us to do for example go there, take off your clothes, sign here etc. We thought it was so rude.
It was supposed to be hot stone massage and all they did with hot stones was to leave it on our backs and went out, came back and collected them and said "FINISHED"
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, WILL NOT RECOMMEND

Got a Groupon for hubby & myself. Hubbys massage was good. Mine on the other hand, was meant to be relaxation, more like deep tissue. I wasn’t asked once how the pressure was, when I couldn’t handle the pain anymore with her digging in her elbows, I told her she was hurting me & she calmed a little but after a bit was back digging her elbows in like there was no tomorrow, not one part of my body was left unhurt. I did not leave relaxed at all, in fact I walked out crying because she had hurt me so much!! I have come home and out a ice pack on my shoulder. Worst massage ever & I would never recommend this place!! Very disappointed!!

I was very put off by the poor Reviews - which I only read after I purchased the coupon, but eventually I dragged myself in. It was all they said, and much more! They determine the temperature of the hot stones by how loud you scream. The second time I was burned, I jerked my hip away from the burning, hobbled out of there, and 4 months later, I am still having physiotherapy. The stone crashing onto the tiles at various intervals, and the loud passing traffic did not add to the ambience. I don't believe they have trained staff. It was the most awful experience.

Went for a supposed 45 minute foot spa and massage - really disappointing. Staff were busy so I got the older man at the front desk. During my 20 minute foot massage session he kept going out and serving customers (obviously worrying about loosing money and not bothering with existing customers). Its a shame because Ive been to this southgate site a few times and the ladies are great. He is absolutely useless and only worrying about the money side of it - if he wants to be a receptionist then stay on front desk. I certainly wont be going back. There are plenty of better places out there - avoid this one.

I brought a Cudo deal a few weeks ago and went in to make an appointment at the Southland store, they couldn't fit me in that day which was fine so I made an appointment for another day. I forgot what time they said and trying to reach them via phone was a challenge, had to call head office as when I did get through they couldn't speak english. I requested a female and was told I wasn't able to have a choice as I brought the "voucher". Then when I did come to my appointment at 11am the door was locked, lights were off and the sign said open.. I waited for 25 minutes and no one came. Then I called head office again and said at this point a refund is preferred. They said no worries but still waiting for the refund over a week later. If this was my business I would have offered the refund and given the massage voucher. I have one day off a week and just wasted 2 hours of my day coming down there not to mention the time wasted trying to contact you store and the multiple phone calls. Big thumbs down 👎

$70 for a 45 minute neck, back and shoulder massage. Walked in off the street and got in immediately. Good, strong massage. Perhaps not the best that I have ever had but pretty good nonetheless.
