Having stayed here numerous times before pre Covid and now after Covid a huge step has been taken back in all areas. Finding somewhere to park even remotely close to the entrance is a joke, whereas previously there was someone to meet you at the front entrance and park your car and bring it back when leaving. Breakfast menu has taken a huge step back. Used to be able to order old style on a menu card and choose options, now it is done via a QR code app on your phone. The breakfast menu is now very limited and no option to order any drinks at all, not even water. Drinks are ordered separately and cannot be pre- booked. The drink options are very limited (no lattè). The mini bar had a tiny container of milk and that is it. One of us ordered the omelette for breakfast and ate about 1/4. The taste was weird and had a funny texture. The tv in the room is extremely small and option to chromecast. The bed was very comfortable and I did get a sound nights sleep. Hoping that things improve and just these tiny touches would make such a huge difference to someody’s stay. Tea in the revolving restaurant was amazing as always and worth having a meal there. The service when we booked in was amazing as well. No option however for someone to take your luggage to your room and collect when leaving (or if there is we were not given the option). Future stays will be at Henry Jones where we have stayed previously but was unavailable this time.

We stayed two nights in room 603 with great views across the bay. This modern room was large with a King size bed (very comfortable) and a very nice, medium size bathroom with walk in shower. The room contained a TV, 2 armchairs, hair dryer, ironing board, tea/coffee making facilities and a bar fridge. Unfortunately we arrived just a the Cyber attack happened, which closed the poker machines. The gaming tables were still working but the room cards had been disabled. The staff dealt with these challenges very well and in a friendly manner, a staff member had to accompany us up to our rooms until the room cards were re-instated. The location of this hotel showcases the view across to Hobart but it is not close to the Wharf area and Salamanca market, a taxi or bus will be required to get there.

Beautiful view from an iconic building, great service, good, huge, serves of food. Prices were not too expensive. Weather was very poor, cool with showers, but everyone we met was warm. The hotel is undergoing yet another upgrade, building workers everywhere.
Hotel needs to concentrate more on what they have, maintain the rooms, fix the leaking taps, cover the chipped paint, rather than just keep building more structures. Its like Hawaii's surf, 'Wow, you should have been here last week Bro'.

The rooms here (in the new part) were really nice, great modern hotel room with a good harbour view.
The casino itself is very small and I couldn't believe the tables didn't open until 5pm each day! Being from Melbourne I thought this was so backwards and years behind. The new Birdcage bar was nice and had live music (Friday night) the drinks were okay.

Hotel staff are below average. I think being from Melbourne I had high expectations but this is just an average casino - they have done renovations which makes it nicer.

Situated on the harbour front. Huge marina of boats and yachts nearby. Walking out of the Casino entrance, Mt Wellington can be seen straight ahead. Much of the casino is off limits, undergoing renovations, but we did have brunch in a cafe near the "slot machine" entrance. Lots of parking available. Would be a nice place to stay but is out of the city. Transport would be a problem.

Rooms are comfy nothing special, my only gripe with this place is it gets sold to you on line as you will be staying in the main tower. Then you arrive and they put you in the older building across from the main entry. Which has no lifts so you have carry your luggage up flights of stairs. There was minimal coffee and milk, so you have to buy some. Facilities in the room, a kettle an iron and a couple of cups and glasses. If you're planning on staying multiple nights go stay somewhere else. It's good for a passing through one nighter but that's it.

We stayed in the Tower accomodation.
The room was ok, but the view was terrible. We overlooked a cement area that had a huge concrete tank on it.
Really disappointing.
The shower was bad. The water came out in one main stream, even though it had an adjustable head. The head kept falling down and wouldn’t stay up.

We booked two nights here as we had 5 nights booked in the city so decided to try somewhere different. What a disappointment! Everything was blamed on the renovations or covid. We actually paid extra for a harbour view room as it was our wedding anniversary. We couldn’t sleep with the blinds open because of the big green spotlight shining up at us. The harbour view - well we could see water if we looked around the big roof if front of us. See the photo. Such a disappointment!

OK a Monday at noon may not be the best time to go. I arrived at the main reception and followed the signs although I made it very obvius I had no Idea not one staff offered assistance. Went into the first gaming room and was very ordinary nothing exciting. again looking lost as I knew there had to be more walked around staring into space and again no assistane at all.
I walked around played pokies and spent hundreds of dollars and not one staff even greeted me. I stood at longhorn reading the menu (was closed) and despite several staff inside and staff walking past again nothing. If one person had of even said hello I may have stayed and had lunch played some more on the machines or tables.
Probably one of the most boring and anti guest places I have been to, I know its hard to compare to Crown Melbourne, Perth or Singapore but I doubt if I would ever come back for a meal or a beer. I was just not made welcome and that is very bad.

We had known about the West Point Casino because it was Australia's first casino. While the exterior looked dated and tied, it was very busy inside with a number of areas where you could have a meal or just sit for a coffee and snack. In the end it was a lovely way to spend an hour or so (assuming you weren't interested in the gambling side of things).
