If you are looking for an area with a great choice of restaurants, then North Hobart is the place. There is enough variety to suit all tastes, particularly ethnic (Vietnamese, Turkish, etc.). Short walk from Hobart's CBC.

A great way to travel. Crew were very polite and welcoming. Windows must be a nightmare. Go the posh pit for the personal service.

A narrow main street with slow traffic and full of cafes and restaurants. A must is a visit to the State Theater, a picture theater/cafe/book shop.

There is a wide choice of places to eat in North Hobart ranging from Italian, Spanish, Mexican, take away, Asian, Indian and quality Fish and Chips. Friday and Saturday nights it is alive with activity live music in the pubs and just a great place to mooch.

This was once an industrial area which has over the years been converted into busy shopping centres with many international restaurant cuisines. There are quite a few bars and entertainments to chose from. I believe that there is also a bus service that run from and to North Hobart and the inner city.

Despite the not great weather the strip was buzzing with hardy revelers and it was only Tuesday evening. Apart from parking being a little difficult to come by sometimes this strip of Restaurants caters for most of the Worlds cuisines and overall the standard is pretty high. Live music is played on many nights at the iconic Republic Bar which... More
