I walked through this area on a gorgeous sunny morning. It is a fabulous way to soak up the architecture of when Hobart was settled. The cottage gardens are lovely. There are some gorgeous quaint shops and great cafe - Jacken & McRoss is worth a visit.

Visit the area regularly as a relative lives in the area. Good walking, visiting and good Pubs. Good meals!

Battery Point is full of character houses, great views out over the water and cosy little restauarants and coffee shops. It is ideal to walk around the little streets and get a true feel of the what the area is really like and how it might have been a hundred years ago. Within walking distance of Hobart CBD and Constitution... More

Walking in unspoilt history. Lovely buildings and yummy cafe. Arthur's Circus, Hampden St, views of Mt Wellington and the sea. Nice to see it being used today but being protected by locals with foresight and love. If I lived in Hobart I would want to live there!

Beautiful historic area with charming houses and architecture take a few hours and spend the time walking around and soaking up the atmosphere. We came upon a horse and carriage historic tour in this area, if time permitted this tour would have been top on my list of things to do. Arthurs circle and the beautiful green area of Princes... One of my favourite areas in Hobart. Walk up Kellys Steps in Salamanca, and cross over to Arthur Circus, a charming circle of old houses set around a central common space. There are great eating places, old houses and antique shops. Visit Princes park which gives glimpses of the river.

If you enjoy history this area is a must see. There are beautifully restored buildings and homes and the historic past can be felt as you walk or drive around the picturesque streets.

Very pretty area and lovely to walk around. If you're in the area and have some spare time (or need to walk off your lunch from Salamanca) it is definitely worth going for a wander through Battery Point.

Battery point is a beautiful area different to anything you'll see in Hobart. It gives the feeling of bring somewhere else entirely! Not a great deal to do is mainly a place for food and history
