Very much worth a visit to appreciate the labour that went into this road. Note the vegetation change as you rise and reach the top. Clouds come and go. View is incredible. And what a temperature difference. Refreshing. Public toilet on site and a sheltered viewing platform.

From the city of Hobart to the pinnacle of Mt. Wellington, the weather went from sunny summer day to hailing winter with wind chill of probably -50C. Still, the view was worth it.

Awesome view but take your winter woolies, it is sooooo cold up there you will freeze if you're not prepared. Definitely worth a visit for the view

Wouldn't recommend the drive to the top in wet weather but apart from the cold well worth the drive for the view.

The teenager wanted snow. She got snow! Great drive up,if you don't like driving not recommended. So windy, snowy but the view was majestic.

Absolutely freezing cold, only 4 degrees Celsius. We had slight snow fall on us. The next day it was shut with snow half way down Mountain but we were oh so lucky to go there and see the most spectacular view. So worth it.

Very easy to get there when you are in Hobart. Lots of rocks, many tracks you can spend whole day walk around. The weather was good when we were there, you can see Hobart city under your feet. Make sure to bring some worm cloth when you go there.

Our day was cloudy but that didn't spoil the day. The drive up is a thrill ride in itself (I personally have never driven such a narrow road with huge drops on one side before). Going up I thought was bad enough but coming down we were going to be on the cliff side of the road. At the top... More

We have been through Hobart 4 times now and could never strike a day when there wasn't a big cloud parked on the mountain. Finally we struck an average day but on a fine day the views would be breath taking.

A day with changeable weather leading up to our visit. Drove our hire car up the steep windy road- have to have your wits about you. As we got higher the scenery changed from lush vegetation to a more sparse vegetation and then more to a more moonscape type of landscape. Really interesting and the height, wind, climate is the...
