Quite a view

We were not very lucky with the weather and we went early to avoid the crowds. I suspect once the morning wore on the mist would have ckeared and the views would be spectacular

Not a very long trip up (by car) from Hobart and has very good views in all directions. There are outdoor platforms and walkways as well as an indoor viewing area. Quite a bit cooler and windier, as you might expect. Great way to get oriented to the area.

If you like walking you'll be spoiled for choice here. I did the walk downhill but there's also a great viewing platform if you don't want to hike. Tracks were well marked and the Lost Freight Cafe at The Springs was a very welcome stop for coffee.

Love the view from up here, especially on a really clear day. It's nice to wander around and just take it all in, but take something warm to wear - it gets chilly!

Cyclist in Hobart have great choice when it comes to riding. One of the ultimate climbs is the MT Wellington Pinnacle. Its about a 1400m elevation over 20 km from the city. The grade is constant with some steeper sections near the pinnacle. The road condition is good when the weather is dry but can be prone to ice and... More

My second visit. The last time there was snow and it was freexing, this time the sun was out and much better. The temperature up here is about 10 degrees Celsius colder at the top than in Hobart. I
