We were so impressed with the views from the summit of Mt Wellington... Clouds blew in and completely covered us and the chill was amazing!! Really worth the drive up to the summit to check it out, but take a warm jacket, even in summer.

Despite not the tallest mountain in the world, just 1271m above sea level, the view up at mountain top is amazing! It is unforgettable sight and somehow brings one some peace. Air is fresh up there though the wind could be tiny bit of sharp and strong!

This view has to be one of the best views in Australia. The long drive to the top is certainly worth it - and adds a note of real adventure. This is the 2nd time I have gone to the top of Mt Wellington, the last time about 6 or 7 years ago. The real "trick" is making your trip... More

We drove a bus load of friends up the mountain and although the wind was nippy the views were fantastic. We could see for miles in all directions. The air was clear with only a few clouds.

We went there on 2 Dec. Read a lot of review about how cold this place is, but we still didn't prepare enough as we thought it shouldn't be cold in summer. It was 21 degree in Hobart on the day we visited, but 9 degree in Mount Wellington! It was very cold when the wind blows. So go prepared!... More

A lovely drive up the mountain. As it was a wet and misty day we didn't get a Veiw of Hobart. But that didn't matter as it was beautiful

Well worth seeing on a clear day. I didn't realize Hobart was this large. Mt Wellington is 1270 mts above sea level, and approx 10 degrees cooler than Hobart proper. Was also windy up there. Great view

Whether by car or by bus...on a fine day, make the trip...it is sensational! The views all-round are superb...from the rounded top itself, with its unique vegetation...to the middle distances of Hobart and it's suburbs...to the far distances of the Central Highlands, the coast and outlying peninsulas...absolutely stunning. The drive up and down is full of interest and drama, and... More
