Hi we are travelling to Tasmania for the Wooden Boat Festival in February. We arrive on Monday into Hobart at around midday. We need to looking at travelling from Monday lunchtime to Thursday where our accommodation has already been booked for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Our friends who are first time travellers to Tasmania want to fit everything in in such a short time. I have suggest that as we are based in Hobart for basically three whole days (4 nights) we spend the other three 1/2 days (3 nights) seeing the parts of Tasmania that are beyond a pleasant day trip from Hobart. My thoughts were to travel to Strahan after picking up our car for the first night and then having the whole day in Strahan then travel on from there to arrive back in Hobart on Thursday night. Does anyone have any suggestions what would be the best route for the next two days. Maybe up to the top and down the east coast. I know it is really a short period of time to spend doing anything really but just wanted peoples thoughts on the best way to use this time? Maybe we should go from the airport up the east coast and back down to strahan and then into Hobart. Would love some feed back? Lynne C
