Nice museum we didn't do the the mine and dug out tour $10 pp. But did see the video presentation about the town and opals , around 1 hr is enough

We visited here as part of a tour. Very interesting to see how the mines were originally dug by hand and then machine. Well worth a visit Our kids are 5 & 7. Both Kearny a lot about opals and mining

We visited Umoona as part of our TOTALLY EXCELLENT Noble Tours afternoon... and found it to be a fascinating place, beautifully presented. A must on your visit to Coober Pedy.

Under an hour but very cool and worth a visit . There is a 20 minute video at the start which is a bit dated but it was awesome so glad we saw it . Explained so much about the area . You get to the. Go underground to see... More

Hello thank you for the question the only fee is for our mine tour adults $10 children $5. Family packages available. All other areas including museum are free
