My partner and I went here on our very first date 3 years ago, and we visited here last week because we wanted to recreate the experience. We were not disappointed! We were sat at a high table because there was only two of us, however when we asked the bartender if we could switch to a booth he was more than accommodating. We proceeded to tell him why we were there and he was very understanding. The cocktails we had were absolutely delicious, and when I went to pay the bill we were greeted with some complimentary anniversary shots! We couldn’t have had a better experience, and our thanks goes to the bar staff that night who gave impeccable service.

Cool cocktail bar in a basement venue in the city center of Adelaide. Tasty cocktails with extraordinary taste, friendly staff and cool music from the 50s and 60s. Thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Found this place online so we thought we would give it a try. You'll find this bar behind unsign posted wooden doors. It was small and cosy. There were 3 large booths with leather seats which could fit around 8 people. There was also a long wooden bench which could probably accommodate 10 people.

We went in a large group of 15+ on a Wednesday night so we were just about the only patrons. The drinks were good and I enjoyed the expresso martini. We also had gin and tonics and shots. The two staff members however appeared disinterested and not very enthusiastic. They stopped serving drinks well before the 2am closing time.

We still had a good time but I think the staff should be more lively.

An incredible little venue. Hidden behind a wooden door in what looks like bathrooms for the upstairs restaurant, this cocktail bar is exceptional. Dimly lit for mood, vintage tunes to get you into the swing of things and some great booze to boot.

Cocktails are very well priced for the booze that goes into them and they will certainly get you going. Classics done well, recommendations rarely falter and the staff are always up for a good chat.

First time here and was very impressed. Cosy atmosphere, the cocktails were yummy and reasonably priced considering. The standout was Nick, his service was fantastic - friendly, genuine, knowledgeable, helpful. Our group all commented on how great he was, we'd all go back just based on his service alone. 5 stars!

This used to be a favourite of mine until last night, I was welcomed upon entry by a blonde girl who was bossy and rude. Told us to move away from the bar and sit at a table as it was table service, we waited a very long time to get our drink after she took the order. I’m not sure if she is new but she set a horrible atmosphere and made us all feel really uncomfortable. My opinion of Maybe Mae has now been tarnished and I’ll probably never go back there....

Get out of customer service / hospitality industry if you don’t know how to interact with people, it’s not hard to be nice!!

I took my parents and their friends on a little bar crawl in Adelaide as they were visiting from Queensland, and this was one of our stops. Love the ambience, love the decor, love the gins.

Nice and cost and not too busy or noisy both nights we visited. Loverly staff with good knowledge of cocktails and spirits. Worth a visit!

The best espresso martini in town!! Went down to the low key bar and it was a great setting. Nick the bartender was so knowledgeable and fun to chat with. Great experience.
