Parliament House is an historic institution located in the North Terrace area of central Adelaide. We saw Question Time for both houses, the Assembly and the Council, which attracted on both occasions. The second time we were members of a group who toured the Old and New Houses of South Australian Parliament. The visit began in the Vestibule, which provided tight security. Historic Parliament House is an attractive building with easy access for locals and visitors..

I visited the Parliament of South Australia with my two children ages 7 and 8. We had a wonderful time where we enjoyed the stunning architecture and learning about the different houses and the interesting history of Parliament.
My son's most memorable moment was hearing about the speakers getting a maze to protect themselves because in Medieval times speakers were often beheaded for being the bearer of bad news.
We also got the opportunity to sit in at question time which was fascinating watching the way that the parties debated against each other.
Overall it was a great experience and will definitely take the children again when they get older so that they can continue to learn.

Parliament House is built of Kapunda Marble and West Island granite. It is fronted by majestic marble columns. Parliament House is the home of government for South Autralia. It can be inspected during sitting times, or you can book a free tour.

10 am and 2 pm they do free tours. Jessie was our tour guide.
This is a must have to do a little work to get in after that np.
You visit the old PH and the lower and upper houses.
Plus heaps more well worth it.

Parliamnt House is an impressive granite building on the corner of King Willaim and North Terrace and was first opened in 1889 with the west wing housing the House of Assembly and completed fifty years later in 1939 with the eastern sction. Not open when visited so no idea of what it is like internally but impressive outside

The Wanderers Rock & Roll Car Club were fortunate to be invited to visit and dine in Parliament House by Independent MP Frances Bedford. Frances is an honorary member of our club and we were thrilled to be her guests at this visit whilst Parliament was sitting. Frances was the perfect host in showing us the house and made the tour after dinner very informative and interesting. She later had the speaker of the house acknowledge our visit. All of our club members had a great time and would not hesitate in revisiting this marvelous building and contents.

Parliament House is centrally located on North Terrace next to the railway station and close to a number of other attractions. Do join the free tour to see the beautiful rooms, learn about the history of the building and SA's parliamentary system.

A good example of a stately and important public building. I doubt that it will ever fall over. The stone masons of the day have done an amazing job. Another fine building on North Terrace. Add it to the list.

We were just walking past and saw there were tours.
Would not recommend unless a very rainy day.
It is a very short tour, the lady who took us around was not very informative and most of the time was unable to answer questions and was also confused between the parliaments and even who the members were! Really!!!

I passed by the Parliament and decide to look inside. There was a session so no guided tour, but I got a chance to observe the debate from close distance.
