    Worth the wander
But make sure it is before 5 o’clock (17:00). Even on Fridays some shops close at that time tho most are open later on Friday. Fun just to stroll and people watch 👍 Of course you WILL see something you absolutely must buy 🤔

Lots of unique shops to experience!
We were spoilt for choice with all that Rundle Mall had to offer on our visit! An underground opal mine, beautiful views of the mall from myer centre, a step back in time in the 1880s Adelaide Arcade, and a delicious selection of chocolates in Haighs. The mall is short and sweet, but walk slowly because you will easily walk past some of the smaller arcades, which is where we found some of our favourite shops! Keep an eye out for Balfours Bakery, Charlesworth Nuts, R.M Williams, Blackbys Sweet Shop and Haighs Chocolates if you are wanting to see some unique South Australian shops!

Comparable to Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne but longer. Plenty of diversions to curiously investigate and see what’s there. Sadly like Melbourne many shops in the side arcades for lease and empty. Wife happy as found a jacket style prior hunted in major retail shop. Pretty day and many shoppers on the move.

A great place for lunch, meandering, and a few hours of shopping
There are plenty of great eateries and shopping experiences to be had in Rundle Mall. Haigh's Chocolates is a must-do (and a must-sample!), as well as Victorian-style Adelaide Arcade and Gays Arcade. If you're needing a loo stop while meandering Rundle Mall, head into the Myer Centre building where you'll find them on most floors. A quick detour down James Place (which runs off Rundle Mall) is the speccy Blackeby's Old Sweet Shop. There are numerous side streets and lanes running off the mall that are worth exploring, too. Allow yourself a few hours to explore the mall and surrounds.

What a great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. We were in port for the day and chose well-rated attractions within a specific area (the mall, Ayers House, and the art museum.) When we travel we like a mix of experiences and felt the mall gave us a glimpse of locals enjoying their weekend in the pretty city of Adelaide. We walked from one end to the other, stopping to enjoy the architecture with a little shopping and a nice lunch on the balcony overlooking all the activity below the Richmond Hotel. There are fountains, the Malls Balls, and the adorable pigs, plus street performers. Rundle exceeded our expectations.

First time to Rundle Mall and enjoyed the walk around. Plenty of shops and loved the 2 'historic' arcades. Lots of people around with lots of music being played by different artists along the way. Seemed to be a shortage of eateries/cafes in the mall itself. We had to go hunting in the larger buildings and to find somewhere to eat. Other than that, as tourists to Adelaide, we enjoyed the atmosphere, especially as it was pre-Christmas, so there were lots of decorations around.

Rundle Mall is mostly a pedestrian Mall and is a great place to shop with places to eat and drink. There are the usual chain stores and many others. An interesting place to visit off Rundle Mall is the historic Adelaide Arcade and Gay's Arcade. Here you can appreciate the interesting architecture, more unusual shops and enjoy a snack while admiring the surroundings. You can pick up a self guided historic tour booklet which is well worth it if you are interested in history.

We parked behind Rundle Place and then walked down to the Mall. There is a lovely collection of shops here and such variety there is something for everyone. We didn't make any purchases but we did wander down the Adelaide Arcade which is definitely worth a visit, it was all decked out for Christmas when we visited and I loved the mix of shops in the arcade. There was a gentleman in the middle of the mall playing a Gehu which we could hear where ever we walked and it was absolutely beautiful, we sat and listened to him for a short time and the music was so haunting. We loved being able to park so close to the Mall, we loved the mix of shops here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Rundle Mall is a regional pedestrian mall in the heart of Adelaide. It's the heart of shopping, dining and entertainment in the centre of the city. It hosts over 1,000 retail and service outlets, with many global and local brands. By the way, Salvador Dali's surreal materpiece "Triumphant Elelphant" is now in reidence. Rundle Mall is a "must see" in Adelaide.

Rundle Mall it’s very similar to every other maul in a major city. What makes it different is the sculptures in the mall. For example there are life-size pig statues and then the controversial big silver ball statues. They certainly don’t look out of place but they are interesting. There are lots of different k’s leading off from the maul that contain very different and very interesting little unique shops. It is well worth leaving the actual mall and heading off down one of the many arcades.

The best place to shop in Adelaide. Rundle Mall is an open, outdoor mall (similar to other mall in capital cities in Australia; such as Brisbane's Queen St Mall). It is centrally located & easily accessable with a tram stop at one end of the mall. There are many big brand stores such as JB Hi Fi, The Body Shop, Myers Centre, Coles & Woolworths along with old arcades with little shops to explore. This is a great place to explore during the day & night. As visitors stroll through the mall they will encounter sculptures (such as the Rundle Mall Pigs) & street performers.

The beautiful old architecture in Rundle Mall is the main draw card for this precinct, with street art and pop-up vans selling French pastries and lovely bunches of flowers being added attractions. Sadly, the ubiquitous big-name shops are the only ones to be found here, with boutique originals probably unable to afford the rent here.
The dining options here are plentiful, affordable and generally delicious.

What more can be said.
A downturn in retail sales is reflected in a less than busy shopping precinct which still offers an amazing array of retail venues.
The usual mix if retail outlets with that sprinkling if Adelaide uniqueness especially represented in the arcades which have that touch of history and class.
Nearby parking at reasonable "city rates"

The atmosphere is great with shoppers all walking around and there is a variety of shops to check out. There are a couple of food courts and it's a great place to stroll around. There were musicians playing to add to the day.
