We have visited a number of times and always enjoy our ramblings. It easy to get around and the exhibits are well presented. Of course the Pandas are a hit, but there is so much more. Particularly loved the hippos, but it is all a pleasure. We are zoo freaks and have visited close to a hundred all over the... More

Loved visiting the Adelaide Zoo to see the Pandas on loan there. I had to be patient and saw one later in the afternoon. I was rewarded by Wang Wang, the boy taking a slow amble searching out and eating his bamboo cakes in his lovely garden enclosure. The hippos were also very entertaining interacting with their keepers with the... More

Great place to spend your hours. Was nice and quiet during the school term. Sad to see some of the animals have passed on or are suffering from conditions but the zoo is doing the best they can which is really heartwarming. We fell in love with the meerkats - one of them is white which is adorable!

I know the pandas get all the credit (and they are amazing) but I was so glad to see little Miss C, the only sloth in Australia! Love her!

The Adelaide Zoo is great for kids, many of the exhibits have been upgraded over the last few years and there is even a play area for the kids as well. There a still a few old exhibits but the walk through aviary is amazing. Some animals aren't there, like a rhino but you can always go to Monarto for... More

Reasonable set of animals but lots of empty spaces and cramped for the animals. Wouldn't recommend. Also, trainer failed to show up for one of the talks. Very expensive for a disappointing experience.

The previous time we visited Adelaide Zoo was in February 2010, and many of the enclosures still look the same when we visited this time, 7 years to the month later. We saw the brochure at the counter for cheap tickets to both Adelaide Zoo & Monarto Zoo but didn't get a chance to read the fine print and just... More

We came to see the pandas and were not disappointed!! This is a lovely zoo - not too big with attractive enclosures and the animals looked very well cared for. There are some great facilities for kids - a children's zoo where farm animals can be fed and a great park for kids to let of some energy. Definitely visit... More
