The staff were very friendly and obliging. The tour was very well organised. We were a bit surprised that Woodside was included as we considered this a waste of time. The rest was very enjoyable.

When you want to do a wine tour around McLaren vale and don't want to be the designated driver, this is definitely the way to go. You can be picked up in Adelaide or in McLaren vale and can choose from a list of approx...More

Rather than have tours where the wineries have been preselected Trail Hopper offers a choice from which one selects. The only downside is that some of the wineries are quite small, but then they need some support.

I had a very quick stop in Adelaide on my travels to Australia in November and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on the McLaren Vale Hop-on Hop-Off tour. Our driver, Monique, was incredible - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with regards the...More

Rather than drive to the Barossa Valley to taste the fantastic wines, we opted for a Trail Hopper - Hop On / Hop Off tour so that we could both have a drink and not worry about a thing. We were collected from a central...More

Recently did the Barossa and Mclaren Vale tours. Both were wonderful, buses were full, but the long list of vineyard choices insured that we were able to visit 4 quality wineries each day.

Casey our driver was lovely very friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to see wineries and enjoy the Village of Hahndorf without the worry of driving. Thoroughly recommend. They supplied water on board the bus.

A very relaxed and convenient way to tour up to four cellar doors and/or restaurants with an hour to sample the wines at each. We managed to visit 5 wineries as our last was within walking distance of our accommodation! Our lady driver was cheerful...More

We started at the visitor centre in Mclaren Vale, only a couple of minutes to the first stop. The hour between pick ups works well no rush. Friendly driver could phone ahead to check not too many people at one site.

Just saw your question and it's probably too late now. But no. There is a certain level of wine tasting that is included, but generally $10-$25 at each vineyard will get you a better selection and/or a better standard of... More

Recommend a Barossa Valley Day Tour operator from Adelaide (2 Replies)
Hi Guys, We are two young couples heading to Adelaide for the upcoming Ashes test in December. We have a day allocated to head to the Barossa Valley for winery tours and do not wish to drive ourselves. I have checked TA and there are many positive reviews for many operators which all offer a slightly difference experience: 1. GrayLine Grand Barossa Valley Tour with Hahndorf - $139pp with lunch. They go to Wolf Blass/Jacobs Creek and Seppeltsfield Estate among others. Fairly 'grey'...More
