The perfect CBD getaway!
Feb 2021
Bring a picnic rug and your favourite snacks, this place is the perfect location for a CBD getaway. Located just a few minutes walk from the CBD, this park will make it feel like you're in a whole new location! Bring the kids down, cycle around the tracks, walk the paths with a partner. There are so many things to do with such a beautiful location. MUST SEE!

Large & Natural
Mar 2021
This is one of many parks around Adelaide and a great asset and a place to walk in peace and quiet. It is not manicured but more natural but worthy of a visit.

Relaxing in the Sun

Rymill Park, is known as a recreational park, the "Kaurna" indigenous people who use to use the park as a meeting and camping area ( known by the "Kaurna" people as " Mullawirraburka").
The park is located in the East end of Adelaide. It is a park for everyone, for families, there is a children's playground, an artificial lake, which you use rowboat ( need to be hired) on the lake.
The park also includes a cafe, rose garden and plenty of green area for children to run around on.
The park caters for "people who need the use of wheelchairs, individuals who are deaf or have a hearing loss, it also caters for people who are blind or have low vision.
City workers or shoppers, when they fill like a quiet moment, they go to Rymill Park.

Rymill Park Kiosk
Feb 2019 • Friends
Rymill Park Kiosk is an undiscovered treasure. In the middle of the park, on the edge of a lake, it is quiet (except when there are big functions on) restful and very beautiful. For breakfast or lunch it is ideal. The tables are outside, there are beautiful shady trees or you can sit on the grass and duck families on the water. The food is simple and good, and staff are friendly. There are rowboats on the lake that can be hired at minimal cost. We did not have children with us but I will be bringing them next time. It is not possible to drive to the kiosk but there is parking on Bartels road and a very short walk in through the park.

Serene park with a small lake
Jun 2017 • Family
Rymill Park always seems a bit under-utilised unless there's an actual event (eg car racing). The little lake with row boats for hire is very cute and is teeming with ducks, which offers lots of entertaining moments for the kids. A nearby playground and bbqs provide a great setting for family picnics. Would love to see it appreciated a bit more. I'm hoping the extension of the O-Bahn bus service will not destroy its beauty. Luckily the day we visited there was no construction.

Nice park ruined
Nov 2016 • Friends
Rymill park was wonderful not long ago, but now there are bulldozers building a road through it, and drunks and vagrants hanging around the public toilet on East Terrace. Very disappointing.

Peaceful and Serene
Apr 2016 • Family
The moment you walk into this park, it is like you're in another place. I love the little lake. The kids went rowing with my husband there. They absolutely loved it. There are benches there for a mini picnic. There's also a small kids playground. One can take a walk there. I love the rose bushes grown in the park.

Peaceful!

As I had two hours to kill in the east end of the city, I decided to visit Rymill Park. It was so peaceful, especially around the lake.
