Remote idyllic location, pristine environment, softest fine sand beach and clearest of blue water. We could have stayed here forever. Everyone told us that Lake Mackenzie was a must-see and we were not disappointed. A place to dissipate all your cares and experience total relaxation. Not to mention the cosmetic benefits of the sand which provided a fine scrub which... More

This was the last stop of our organised tour on Fraser Island where we stopped for a swim. The beach was soft white sand which lead into the warm waters of Lake McKenzie. The sand gives a great exfoliating experience to the skin so well worth a dip. There are changing facilities at the lake as well as an enclosed... More

This has to be the most visited lake on the island & its totally understandable! Mother Nature held nothing back with this one. Must see & swim if on Fraser Island. Please take note of all signs! Don't feed dingos & please leave only footprints!

Loved Lake McKenzie, transfixed by the amazing colours of the lake, sad to see so many people swimming though, hope it doesn't become a tacky attraction like Phi Phi island

Beautiful pristine fresh water. Great for a morning swim. Thankfully our tour arrived early and we were the only ones there.

Whiter than white sand, finer than fine sand, bluer than blue fresh water - what a lovely place to visit and walk along the beach.

The most beautiful lake I've ever seen. Ps. No food is allowed to be consumed on the beach but there is a very large dining area at the car park.
