The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions. Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one. Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

Lovely wide clean, sandy beaches a great backdrop to the markets which operate 3 nights a week. Lots of local hand made products. Reptiles for handling by anyone that is keen. Acrobatic dance group display. Unusual and unique gifts, worth a stroll after a day at the beach.

The beaches here are beautiful but they are all along this coastal trip. Surfers Paradise at night is tacky and full of drunk 20 some things. It's really commercial, plastic and overly touristy. There are so many better places on the Gold Coast, such as: Burleigh Heads, Tweed, Coolangatta and Nobby's Beach. Prices will be cheaper and people will be... More

Christmas is always great period to visit surfers. The beach is great for surfing or if you just want to laze around mind you can get very very humid & due to ozone layer so you would need tons of sunscreen.its a great place for kids & families. There are plenty of ice cream & food shops to keep you... More

I absolutely love Surfers Paradise beach as I love it when the buildings shade the beach in the afternoon as it offers relief from the sun while still having all else that a beautiful beach offers

Australia is home to pristine beaches! This beach is clean and usually open till 5sh. Gold Coast is buzzing on the weekends and I loved how maintained it was. On Sunday they also had a pop up around.

We've been visiting this beach for years, and love it. It is kept clean, and with the upgrade of the beach front area, it is so safe and comfortable. There is great access to a great variety of eateries. The beach is monitored by the Surf Life Saving community, and the service they provide is second to none, and I... More
