The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions. Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one. Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

A beautiful beach that is well patrolled in a number of locations. A great walk and very popular with tourists and locals alike. The only thing and it's only a small thing is the high rise buildings block the sun and shadow the beach early of an afternoon ..

Right on the edge of the main shopping precinct that is Cavil Avenue Mall, Surfer's Paradise beach has lovely clean sand, cool water and bronzed bodies. The only negative is that the beach becomes super crowded during summer school holidays.

What else to say except it's SURFER'S PARADISE BEACH! Voted one of the best beaches in the world - and also one of the cleanest. Good to walk along during the night, too - particularly when the Night Markets are on. I've actually never seen it deserted...

we stayed here because everything was to hand, came by bus/train from Brisbane because we dident want to drive, that was so easy with good conections on both train and bus which stops almost out side. Out side holiday season is best for us as it can get very busy there

End of Term 3, School holidays, staying in North Surfer's Paradise. We have been for 30 min to 2hour walks into and around the centre of Surfer's and onto Chevron Island once (to sample Boom Boom Burgers) Exploring a range of times from 5.30am to 10pm. Always felt safe, always something interesting to see. There is a range of great... More
