The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions. Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one. Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

Well Surfers is just one of the 39 beaches in the Gold Coas along 37 kms of uninterrupted white sand walk , swim, surf and also 1 or 2 stops in one of the magnificent restaurants and bars of the Life Saving Clubs Of course I like Surfers Paradise Beach but the charm of the Gold Coast does not start... Fell in love with this place as soon as we arrived. Sandy beach goes on forever. A great vibe on and off the beach. It definitely lives up to expectations. We visited several times throughout our holiday. We were fortunate to be their for New Year's Eve and the firework displays were among the best I have ever seen.

Plenty of free parking along the beach area, great to get of the car and very short stroll to the beach. We went in December- the sand very hot, so make sure you keep your flip flops on (thongs), plenty of good factor sun screen and a hat. Close to all the shops and eateries and later in the afternoon... More

Love love , love this place. The sand is 'squeaky"!! Good waves, can see the surfers out really early in morning from the apartment. Great for a stress free stroll!! Lots of food outlets on Cavill Ave, great place to holiday

Great Beach to go to if you are staying in Surfers paradise. During summer protected by Life savers and other times by GCCC life guards. Close to the heart of Surfers and close to eateries. Good day out for families. I prefer Main Beach, quieter than Surfers and great Surf Club.

Surfers Paradise is a beautiful beach with very attentive life guards. All you need to do to stay safe here is follow the rules from the life guards. Swim between the flags and be aware of the people near you. It's crowded of course and you should be aware of this to ensure you don't hurt or knock down other... More

We did not swim as there were blue-bottles around in Dec/Jan but it was a beautiful beach on New Year's Eve, during the day and all the times we visited.
