The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions. Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one. Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

The beach is super clean, situated very close to the hotels, amenities, malls, restaurants, and night market. very nice beach and love to see all the surfers around, make it happening and enjoyable to just sit and relax. It's rare (at least to me) to find a beach that is so close to many tall buildings, make it very unique.... More

2 kids went for a swim every morning and whe we got back from our daily trips. Playing cricket & kicking a ball and other kids joining in is just so much fun for the kids. Life guards are always close by and keep everyone safe.

The water is still rather cold at this time of the year and using a wet suite is preferred. Remember to swim within the safety flags as there are lifeguards on duty.

Very nice beach! Cold water but it wasn't a hot day, fesh and strong wind, cloudy, but the beach is very beautiful! A lot of surfers and volleyball players. There are toilets, showers and a lot of bars and stores around! We loved it!

We recently went here for a romantic walk along the beach to chat about the upcoming holiday and check out how the schoolies were taking over surfer's paradise. There was plenty of people on the beach enjoying themselves and this beach is always clean.. definitely recommend to locals and tourists

The beach was such a beauty with its wide shore and long stretch of sand. The sand was cream-colored and was super fine like iodized salt. There were lots of birds flying around. But the water was too cold for me. Haha! It's a great place to unwind and relax after a day of touring Gold Coast.
