Beside the staff being very friendly, there is nothing positive about this place. A lot of things lacking in the room, the bed was hard, the AC was loud and 4 elevators means that it takes around 30 minutes to get to the lobby. The worst part is the hotel pool area. Families "reserve" spots early and stay all day meaning that if you are not one of the early people you have absolutely no chance of enjoying an hour or two by the pool. The hotel management does not care since at this point you have already paid and whether you can access the pool or not does not bother them at all.

We recently stayed there for 5 nights . We were initially on level 8, however it was very noisy and then we got moved to level 46 which had spectacular view , the rooms are both very spacious and clean . We really enjoyed the room.

They have both indoor and outdoor pool , the pool are good except that my son said he saw lots of hair at the bottom of the pool . As long as you don’t dive down then you won’t see it .

The wifi was ok on level 8 but very bad on level 46... so we end up couldn’t browse anything as there seem to be very weak signal..

The location is very convenient

Disgusting place. They charged $300 for a burnt carpet that was there prior to us staying. They are a joke. They don’t reply to emails even when they say to email this place. This place is a SCAM and be weary on staying there. Plenty of amazing places to stay that is not Q1.

We arrived on the Goldcoast a few nights ago, we had booked accommodation elsewhere and it was terrible! We packed up and decided to stop in at the Q1 for a night while we rearranged our plans.
We were greeted by Lee, who not only made us feel very welcomed, but she went above and beyond to make our night enjoyable. (Thanks Lee) we ended up booking an additional 4nights here as we just loved it.
All staff were super helpful and friendly.
Loved the fact they had an on-site coffee shop near reception also.
Our 10 year old loves the pools, spa and games room. We will certainly be staying again.

We come here every year. I love going to the day spa for the 90 mins treatment. You get the massage, exfoliation, shower and facial. My therapist Hiromi was professional, sincere, and went over and above my expectations. I would definitely ask for an Asian therapist as this is my fifth visit to this day spa and every year I get someone different. All of the girls are great, but the Asian therapists go the extra mile. No I’m not racist, I’m kiwi with Maori heritage. So colour has nothing to do with it. P.S the photos don’t do it justice. This is a five star spa.

Duo day spa package ,what a disappointment .
This is suppose to be a full body massage ,no feet legs or arms are part of this massage ??
And when it's over you are encouraged to sit and relax with a cup of tea ,and a towel over your legs in the lounge room at reception .Image my shock when I watch people get up and leave to have staff come in three times and refold the towels to be used again by the next customers .Hygiene ? They do this in front of people ,what do they do behind the scenes.Very tired needs a good clean .

Recieved a gift voucher as an engagement present. And very disappointed with the massage. They told us it was 45min massage as we begun but proceeded with a 30 min massage instead. Massage was like someone was just rubbing lotion and not massaging. Terrible experience for the well known Q1. Do not recommend. As a local we will definitely never go again.

The location is the best, a short walk to surfer paradise shopping area. Tram G Link is at the door step. Big pool, warm indoor pool gym and sauna. However, gym is a bit run down. One Bike is out of order. The hotel is quite clean. Depend on how you book, daily cleaning might not happen to every room. Fast elevator. I hope they upgrade towel and pool towel. They are quite small. Staff is very helpful. You can have breakfast at observation desk for $30 at reception. To get into observation desk ya usually $27! Why not just pay $3 extra. There is Q1 spa near pool. A great way to relax. Lot of restaurants and shops near by and a short walk to the beach.

We had a three bedroom ocean view room on the 55 th floor.
Rooms were large and very well equipped.
Views were as advertised.
We had a spa in our room, I’m not sure if that’s standard.
Just a five minute walk to Cavil Ave, 2 minutes to the beach and there are plenty of shops and restaurants outside reception.

This was the 2nd time this year we’ve stayed here and we were again in a Ocean View 2 bedroom room, this time our stay was 7 days. Noticed the small annoying things this time, no dish brush, no dishwashing liquid, only 2 tea bags , no spare bin liners , only 1 spare toilet roll - all of which could be sourced from reception but still annoying as wasn’t all noticed at once. The beds could do with a upgrade too, given the price per night. Also there was a huge wet patch and stain by the master bedroom bathroom - which would have been very noticeable to the cleaners as there was a smell too and I believe the room shouldn’t have been let out until it was sorted , went to reception and informed them and she was very helpful and organized a big fan , she asked if it bothered us , at this point we’d unloaded all our bags and decided we’d just put up with it. The big fan worked but left a very ugly dirty stain, in hindsight we should have moved rooms as we had to constantly step over the stain to get to the bathroom. Overall we still enjoyed the hotel and great location , but maybe sort the smaller things as when they pile up they become very annoying
