An enjoyable round
Nov 2019
It is a well laid out course and full of challenges. When I played, the course was suffering from a drought and there were dead leaves everywhere. I enjoyed the course and played it more than others I had tried. Bring enough balls because the ball runs long and there is a lot of water.I would recommend this course.

Not as good condition this trip
Aug 2019
Played 18 holes in 4 hours....golf buggy tired, not clean. Course not as good this year.
Rough very long..difficult to find ball. Greens average.
I feel overpriced for course condition, yet last yearI thought this course was one of the best on the Coast. For $95 don’t think that I would bother next year. Preferred Hope Island and Coolangatta Tweed.

A Few Negatives.

This is a great Nicklaus design. The course has a pedigree and is a pleasure to play. We took a 1pm special and played our round in under 4 hours. So far so good. But - the greens staff seem to be planning a shrinking of all the greens, presumably to shrink the budget. Blue dots show the smaller green size and areas if up to 3 meters in were unmown. This is very sad if this is the plan. It will weaken the design and quality.
The pro shop was locked at 4 50pm when we came in and the stock was limited and sparse.
Finally - we ordered a round of Kirin beers when we finished and the glasses were still warm from the dishwasher. The barman was unapologetic and we were unimpressed by his lack of interest.
Overall impression? There has been a steady decline in standards at this course.

Played 18holes at Lakelands
Jul 2019 • Family
Called Lakelands pro shop to find out about practice facilities when visiting Gold Coast. Found them helpful and inviting. Once there, the cost of range balls were reasonably priced. We then played 18 holes with a cart for $85 each. A little on the pricey side for the time of year. The course was very wet and some parts unplayable. Recommend playing once to experience the layout but there are better value for money around.

Challenging course in beautiful condition
Apr 2019 • Solo
Played 3 rounds in April from the white tees. Not an easy course but careful placement made for enjoyable golf. Welcoming staff and with a cart, including ice in a 'chilly bin' the green fee is reasonable. Found balls in the '1st cut' just off the fairways, so watch where your ball is heading as they will hide in the rough. 14th hole to me was the highlight of this lovely course.
A must play if visiting Surfers Paradise.

Great manicured golf course but keep out of the rough
Apr 2019 • Couples
Thoroughly loved playing this course with beautiful fast greens and mint fairway condition. Long rough just off fairway to keep it honest and penalise you if you didn't hit straight. Loved it.

Scenic and challenging

It is good layout making you manage your game. It is expensive in comparison to some courses but a nice place to relax with good facilities

Top line golf course!

Have played Lakeland’s Golf course many tines over the years and really enjoy the place. It has many great holes and has many holes with water features and well placed bunkering and tree features. The location is very good just a short drive out from Broadbeach and has good accomodation at Mercure Hotel close by!

Recently played the course with 2 overseas visitors. The course was in good condition and we enjoyed the game. Included in our deal was a free drink after the round but when we finished playing at 3.30. everything was closed. No food no drink. The pro was very helpful and sympathetic and got us a soft drink from the Pro Shop.
An otherwise pleasant day ruined. We were embarrassed as we had told our visitors that it was a top course, which it was the last time we played there.

Probus Christmas party
Dec 2017 • Friends
First time visiting this beautiful venue. We had our Christmas 🎅 party here for 35+ people. The food was excellent, the staff very attentive and ready to please. I would like to thank them all for this pleasurable day, and for creating a memory for us.
