My wife and I visited with our 6 year old daughter who absolutely loved it. Easy to spend 1-2 hours looking back in time and an absolute must for any family.

If you want to find out about the lives of the pioneers of Queensland, then this little hidden gem is a must. We had a personal tour, thanks to our guide and driver , Robert. We were ferried around the site in his 1929 Model A Ford stopping off at the old hospital, sheep shearing station, engineering works, printers, school,... More

We had a fantastic stroll around the many buildings. The volunteers have done a wonderful job in keeping our history alive. A little bit for everyone to enjoy. Period furniture and clothing. Various old transport examples, many still in working order. A great garden and plenty of animals to watch and pat. We were lucky enough to see the miniature... More

Came here before our flight at mid-day and its only 20mins from the city by car. Entry is $15.50 for adults and $11.50 for pensions/concession/students. Huge place with lots of things to see and takes you back in time. You can spend as long as you'd want there and there's a few animals floating around so great for the kids.... More

This was my first visit and I wasn't that impressed. Plenty of good markets and a good range of food to pick from. Some really good local fruit and veges. The council run( volunteers I am betting) hot food was very ordinary and has potential as a great food stop for families and raising money for local charities. With 2... More

Well worth a visit if you are in the Rockhampton area. With very friendly, knowledgable volunteers to guide and assist, the Heritage Village encompasses a trip into the past of Australiana with so many excellent reproductions of life and times in early Queensland. With easy walking and excellent displays, you come away with a sense of "being" of how life... More

As you enter the Heritage Village you are transferred back many years to times past when life was much simpler. The Clock Room contains over 100 wonderful timepieces; the cottages reflect the simplicity and practicability of a past era; the restored vintage vehicles are a reminder of the origin of our modern day sleek autos, the City Printing Works, the...
