The big reef cruise ships out of Port Douglas take 300-400 people and that sounded like hell to us! We found this fabulous company and their catamaran Aquarius that only takes 23 people. The boat, crew and cruise was wonderful. On the way out to Low Isles, we stopped to watch a pod of humpback whales and dolphins. When we... More

There are a number of sunset cruises available out of Port Douglas, and Aquarius is one of them. We were lucky to have a great evening for a gentle cruise along Four Mile Beach. The cruise was quite full with people jostling for the best seats...not that it really matters. Having spent a lot of time on the water over... More

We decided to do an afternoon cruise to the Low Isles as we have done the Great Barrier Reef on our last visit to PD. The boat is relatively new, the seating is a bit cramped if there were 23 passengers on board as advertised. The cruise took about half an hour to the Low Islaes. We have the option... More

Great Day at Low Isles. Crew knowledgeable and helpful. Lunch good. Nice to go on a boat with small number of passengers.

Spent the day out on the reef at The Low Isles on board The Aquarius. What a great day, the boat holds a maximum of just 23 passengers and no children under 12 so it feels a lot more intimate than the other 'monster' boats operating in this area. The crew were excellent as was the lunchtime buffet. For those... More

Spent a lovely day at Low Isles. Unfortunately the snorkeling wasn't as good as it could have been possibly due to the wind and rain earlier this week making the sea murky but we did see a turtle. Great lunch and Alicia, Sara and Peter knew their stuff. It was quite a structured day and although we could have done... More

We have just had the best day on the Aquarius snorkeling to low isles. Full day was collected by the mini bus 8:20 and on the vessel by 8:30, only 23 people which was great and really friendly group, small safety beefing and we were underway Just out of the harbor were under sail for the hour trip to low... This boat only takes 23 passengers with no children under 12 years and there were 3 staff. The boat is beautiful - so relaxing sitting in the sun with the sails flapping in the breeze!! They provided wetsuits and snorkelling gear. At the island we snorkelled and were taken on a very informative walk and talk session. Back on the... More

We had a really nice day sailing on the Aquarius with it's all girl crew. A amazing catamaran. Snorkeling was fun on the reef and the service on the boat was great.
