We came here from the Cairns Botanical Gardens with our 2 young kids and they both loved this playground, it was so nice without any plastic but so so well sought out. The kids didn't want to leave, even when the rain started! Definitely worth...More

We stayed at the Cool Waters Holiday Park that backs onto the park. The kids loved walking along the stream and "skipping" stones, and by skipping, I mean throwing stones into the water like all small children love to do. The playground isn't really designed...More

We have been to Cairns many times but this was a new discovery! Lovely quiet, hidden spot just out of Cairns central. There is plenty of grass for picnics, good toilet facilities and a wonderful fresh water river to swim in. Dogs are also allowed...More

had been living in Cairns for 16 years, did not even know this park exists until I was invited for a BBQ there. I guess it is alright for people with Dogs, apart from that is is pretty avarage.

As a local I've heard lots about Goomboora but had never been before, what a treasure! So much space to explore and lovely wide tracks to walk around the area. This space would be amazing for byo supply kids parties or bbqs. The kids playground...More

My dog just goes nuts everytime we go here. I walk her first on the lease and go down to the swimming hole and we walk paw knee deep in fresh running water. Then up to the doggie park to socialize.

Excellent activity for getting out of the house over school holidays. Take your swimmers to swim in the creek or take a ball to kick on the large open grass areas
