From booking to greeting to briefing to the flight and the welcome back to the airport, the whole experience was unbeatable, the reef from the air is breathtaking, but this review is about the provider who could not have given us a better experience. With typical Japanese courtesy and professionalism the ground crew who spoke perfect English gave us a great welcome, and a detailed brief including letting us know what to look out for and the flight itself was awesome, our pilot, pointed out the parts of the reef highlighted in the brief, gave us a smooth flight with massive of photo opportunities. I could not recommend the Sea Eagle experience highly enough.

If you want to make the most of your Cairns holiday, this has to be on your list! You get a bird's eye view of the world's largest coral reef and it's a once in a life time experience. It's perfect for people who want to see the reef without getting wet or have limited time.
The pilot was professional and flew over some spots twice to ensure all passengers had a good view and there were many great photo opportunities. I will definitely be recommending this to my family and friends :)
Thank you for your amazing service Fly Sea Eagle!

The Great Barrier Reef offers its complete beauty only from top view! With Fly Sea Eagle you will have the perfect change to see this!
Don't wonder about the Japanese details, the boss and most pilots are English native speaker.
We had a 45 min tour and it was wonderful! There is no audio guide ans also no need of it. Just sit back, relax and take plenty of photos or videos.
We felt save all the time, and the machine made a positive impression to us. Even the windows are that good that you will have nearly no reflection or other impact at the photos.
If you arrive by car, you can park your vehicle in front of the small building (approx. 5m x5m).

We were due to cruise out and snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef but the cyclone put paid to that so we called in at a tourist information site and asked about flights. She booked us with Fly Sea Eagle who had a flight available that afternoon. We couldn't find much about them on the internet (except in Japanese) so didn't know what to expect.
We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the airport with 3 Japanese tourists. The male guide gave them their safety briefing in Japanese while the pilot did ours in English. Once we were all safely seated in the aircraft the flight took about 45 minutes. The colours are unbelievable out on the reef and there were no boats out so it was like we had the place to ourselves. I even saw a turtle swimming down there. Amazingly one of the Japanese tourists fell asleep and when my husband asked the pilot she said she has one every flight!
If you do want to stay awake and see the Great Barrier Reef though, this is the way to go

This really is a not to be missed experience when visiting Cairns. Aside from the joy of flying in a small aircraft with great viewing opportunities and with the confidence that comes with knowing that you are with true professionals- the flight out over the Reef is one that will remain a highlight of my holiday and one I will never forget.
Don't miss it!

Booked through viator before we left the UK. When we arrived at the airfield we were shown into a portacabin where we met our pilot and shown a map of the route we would take. We were the only 2 people there so we were in a 4 seater plane with the pilot. The views were fantastic and it was great seeing the koala shaped reef. Amazing to see the barrier reef from the sky, highly recommended.

The pilot picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the airport. The flight was amazing, we got to see the koala head and green island. The pilot was very knowledgable and a confident flyer. Great experience 😁
