We visited in May 2018, at the start of winter. Took the Big Cat cruises and went over to Green island. The ride can be quite difficult... though its a large cruise. the waters get choppy and the ship shakes a lot. A warning especially...More

Busy place with many day trippers . Snorkeling was disappointing as there’s no reef just weeds and rocks . Food was expensive. Apparently the glass bottomed boat saw reef and fish. The Crocodile park costs extra and isn’t worth the $20 if you only have...More

Boy did we pick the wrong day. Lowest tide in the year. We were not aware that tides affected islands. So paid ridiculous ammount of money to do nothing. Chech tides when you book.

The beaches are beautiful. The views are amazing. The waters are crystal clear. But there are so many of us tourists! The reef there is dead. Very little marine species. The resort provides limited food options to day trippers at high prices. Skip and go...More

Green island is suited for families with young children. Else, I would recommend the outer reef which has a lot more variety. The water is crystal clear and we saw beautiful fishes and turtles in the glass bottom boat. Snorkel near the jetty where you...More

Fantastic and unreal snorkelling over the coral on Green Island. Loved the semi submersible. Better than the glass bottom boat. Saw sharks and turtles and so many beautiful fish.

We went to Green Island as part of a group tour in March. It was lovely with all the trees, but there were far too many people. The pool area was very small with only a few chairs. I don't snorkel but the water looked...More

When there in January we went into the water without any suits; there were no warnings otherwise, I presume at the time all was deemed safe; however there is a kiosk on the Island where you can hire snorkel sets & suits... More

Hi The ferry operators have offices at the wharf itself - my experience is that the tour operators often have tickets for longer than the ferry companies, so you may need to go two days in advance or be prepared to go for... More
