Had a lovely morning at the gardens with my mum and 2 kids 3 and 5. Being a little cooler in the gardens helped and they are truly beautiful. Can be a little hilly with a pram.

Absolutely lovely even in the rain, became a bit concerned when I saw the sign crocodile had been in area when we were heading to the lakes, we actually turned around and went back! Took some amazing photos!

Really lovely to spend a day walking here and nice looking little cafe too. We were three adults from 23 to 71 and all enjoyed the time here. Very quality activity in Cairns...and thanks to those who made it possible for a free activity.

Limited menu. Nothing original to choose from. Ordered smoked salmon brioch, toasted with small salad (just under $15)and a bruscetta. Ok...but not amazing. Took around 45 minutes to deliver to the table. Only 3 other small tables with customers when we ordered. Would never go back.

For our first day we decided to walkabout and started off from our Hotel 'Double Tree' and walked first to the dive centre to see where we needed to go for our dive trip the next day. Then we had a very ample cooked breakfast at the Bavarian Beer house on the Esplanade where we had had a very nice... More

We caught the bus to the botanic gardens as this was inexpensive and didn't fancy the walk. One of our friends cycled it though so that is doable. I wouldn't recommend walking though, as this is quite far from cairns central. Good day out with lots to see. A lovely butterfly room with a fair few species to see flying... More

Flecker Botanic gardens would have to best one of the best gardens I have ever visited. The range of plants are amazing as are the orchid house and butterfly gardens. A must do visit when in Cairns....and its free.

We love walking around the gardens and see what is in bloom and what grows well and seeing the butterflies and birds, well worth a wander around if you have time.

We visited the Botanic gardens whilst staying in Cairns, the gardens are an absolute delight, it's maintained very well and was a real pleasure to stroll around, I will say tho that it's lacking a decent cafe, the current one requires attention and if this better it would have got a 5 from us!
