Like many cities, Cairns has a really wonderful Botanic Gardens, but unlike others this has a real tropical feel to it, in keeping with the location in the tropical north of Queensland. Its a great way to spend a few hours in between energetic activities like visiting the Great Barrier Reef.

A lovely way to spend a couple of hours while waiting for our flight. The plants and flowers are beautiful and the waffles in the cafe were delicious. A good spot to visit.

The various paths with amazing ferns and amazing trees each path had added beauty and gave a sense of tranquility. The flowers from some of the greener were rich and vibrant. A walk through the conservatory had fantastic range of flowers and I have never seen such a variety of orchids.

Beautiful spot with great cafe in Info centre. Excellent board walk through genuine rain-forest and close to more energetic walks up the red and blue arrow trails.

Got a chance to spend an hour or two here. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cairns to do a stop here for a walk through the magnificent gardens they have created with trees, plants and flowers from all over the world. My favourite place was the butterfly habitat - that was amazing.

We visited the Botanic gardens after reading the different reviews. The rainforest Boardwalk was the highlight of the area and you really do feel like you are deep in the rainforest. The gardens are beautiful with lots of interesting pieces of information. A great free attraction for those visiting the area.
