We attended after rave reviews of the gin and having sampled it previously. Expectations were high however we were left disappointed by a tiny room for tasting with a staff member who seemed disinterested. Would be a lot better if there was some information or something to view or read about the distillery itself or the process. Not worth the trip.

My partner suggested that we stop in and try a testing of some tequila and to have a look around.
You’re required to pay for the tasting (as with most vineyard’s these days) however, it was well worth it.
We ended up tasting all the Gin’s, Tequila’s and the whiskey. The staff was very knowledgeable and even though a two tour busses came in during our visit we never felt forgotten about.
They also sell a range of shirts, coolers and small souvenirs.

Great stopover on the road to Atherton, and as we arrived early it was not busy. Service was friendly and efficient . Tried the 4 sampler for $20 which was good , purchased a bottle to go.
Nice touch with the peacocks in the garden area. A shame that no food was available to enhance your stay.

Mt Uncle was recommended as a destination cellar door “must do” during a 5 day trip to Cairns surrounds. The gin & other liquors are certainly interesting. However, the experience was sadly lacklustre. Barely a welcome, limited spontaneous explanation as to the history of the facility & when we asked for information during the (paid) tasting, it was like pulling teeth. While we did make a purchase in addition to the tasting, frankly we’d have bought more if the experience had been more welcoming & informative. At a time when tourism is suffering, for those of us who are visiting, keen to support local businesses & buy local, please make a bit of an effort.

Great stop on the scenic route from Mareeba to Atherton. True Australian Botanical Gins and Worlds Best Rum. Had great time trying all the locally made spirits and enjoyed walks around beautifully maintained gardens. Great service. Thank you!

We really enjoyed a quick visit here to do some tasting. The setting is just amazing!
Enjoyed our tasting and purchased a bottle and some merchandise. The only suggestion I have is people might purchase more if you got the cost of the tasting deducted from a purchase, like the vineyards do? And a little cocktail menu showcasing your products and possibly some snacks and we’d have stayed much longer and spent more? But all in all a great visit!

Unexpected stop on our road trip. What a great find. A pity the cafe/ restaurant was not open when we called in and as we didn’t know what to expect so soon after New Years. Definitely worth it. We sat down and sampled the full range of their products in a tasting. The quality of the products were exceptional we had to take some home with us. In all the whole experience was something we both came away feeling we will definitely have to return again hopefully sooner rather than later.

Visited Friday at around lunch time and shared four samples with my friend. We tried all the gins, and the whiskey. As a local, I already knew the gins were fabulous however, it was great to try the smoked gin with a special tomato juice mixer. What a great pairing! What did surprise us, as two non whiskey drinkers, was the stunning whiskey. It was so lovely, i wish I had deeper pockets to buy myself a bottle. It's in the running for best whiskey on the world, and I can see why. Lovely friendly knowledgeable service and definitely worth a stop on the tablelands.

Mt Uncle is well set up with a great tasting room where you can choose the number of their excellent spirts you want to taste. Staff were very helpful and there was a great range of excellent rums and gins to try. I enjoyed both rums and the whiskey while my wife tried a Davison Plum gin which was new to their range.
The kids were also kept entertained outside with peacocks and birds roaming the property and enclosures containing alpacas, donkeys and other animals. Well worth a visit and had no problems paying a tasting fee for such quality products.

We stumbled across this by accident & so glad we did. It's such a cool place & a great way to spend a couple of hours. We had a cheese platter which was really delicious & tasted some gins, rum & whiskey. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend, its well worth the drive.
