This is one of the most fascinating attractions I have ever encountered. It has everything - history, magic, romance and foresight. Our photos are beautiful and you can imagine what Jose envisaged when he bought the land to build his castle on. The guide did a fantastic job of telling the story of a man way before his time and... ... especially the Josephine falls which were our favourite! Only takes an hour to see all the waterfalls and the Babinda boulders. Hire a car and do it yourself.

If you are visiting the Tablelands, make sure you go to the beautiful Millaa Millaa Falls. Very easy access for all, and you can picnic there and swim.

The natural attractions were phenomenal. The climate and flora and fauna are different than on the coast. We checked out many of the waterfalls. We spent the day driving from Cairns to Townsville. The roads are in good shape. We stopped at the Gallo Dairy for snacks and to buy some cheese. Atherton is quaint and worth a stop.

We drove to the very top of the Atherton Tablelands, meandered around , had a yummy curry and pea pie from the bakery in Ravenshoe then visited a relative. Returned to Cairns on a different route. ..equally as scenic as the drive up. There are so many attractions on the way. .eg. Milla Milla Falls.

Was a good day but too rushed, would do differently, next time. Would self drive and do it over 3 days, with a full day at the Spanish castle

Good drive through the tablelands if you are looking to fill a day of stops, great views, places to visit, places to rest and or camp on the way. we drove from Pt Douglas, through to Atherton, to the "Crater" and "Dinner Falls" these were a great intro to our drive to Millaa Millaa falls, on or way to Cairns.... Stuart was a great guide. He was punctual, informative and entertaining. My husband's favorite part of the tour was the tale of Jose Paronella, Although the entire tour was scenic and enchanting, I truly enjoyed the wallaby viewing at the end.

Excellent journey with lots of spectacular waterfalls and geological formations to visit, plus a tour into the works of an early 20th century Spaniard that his romantic dreams into practice. I strongly recommend everybody to visit Paronella Park and urge Queensland's Government to help its owners to rehab it.

The Tablelands has so much to offer you can spend many days wandering around. The climate is cooler than the coast which is great for hot days. Must sees are Tinaroo Dam, crater lakes, waterfalls, rainforest walks and boat rides on the lakes, Historic villages and quaint cafes and markets. Very natural, unspoilt and quiet.
