This is a pretty decent tour to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkeling, diving, or just being on the water. A few things you need to know. First, the boat is huge and packed with people. There were 158 on our trip. Crowded, lines for the bathrooms (5), lines for the lunch buffet (1 line), and crowded snorkeling and diving.... More

It was a great day, very lucky with the weather. The staff was great and really helpful. Food was good, but we didnt get any entertainment, which was promised in the description. The reef locations were good, and even though I was really scared to go into the water, the staff supported me, and I had a great experience.

We did the Pedi Open Water Dive Course with this company and our instructor, Frankie (Francesco), was amazing. He was patient, caring and funny, and made the two days on this amazing vessel unforgettable. Thank you, Frankie, for teaching us how to dive safely! The boat was amazing, the staff attentive, and the reefs chosen for our dives incredible. I... More

we had our 4 days open water course with down under cruise & dive, the super funny and very conscientious dive instructor "eagle eye" frankie who made all the skills for open water diver very easy to understand on day 1& 2 in theory and practical, and spotted all the aquatic animals that we may be interested on day 3&4... This is my third reef experience and second in Australia. The Evolution is one of the biggest, fastest and newest vessels plying its trade on the Reef out of Cairns. It is not the cheapest, and in fact may be close to the most expensive, but geez they know their job and do it well. Most of the poor reviews... More

We did the day tour of snorkeling and an introduction dive on the brand new 7 million $ boat which was absolutely beautiful. The day was very organised, you felt very safe and relaxed the whole day. Lunch and snacks were provided which were delicious. We travelled to 2 different reef locations and had a very substantial amount of time... More

An amazing day swimming with the fish. Even a reef shark! Yep a small white tip shark. We visited two different sites on the reef. Two very different areas. The first was had more variety of fish. The staff were a well oiled machine. Very friendly, helpful and professional. Awesome day!

Choose Down Under as it was cheap and went to 2 different reefs and did not use pontoons to snorkel. The boat is very new only commissioned at start of year. This means that it very fast and we overtook many other boats so it gave us much more time on the reef. Also it only takes 150 people so there is no... This is an amazing trip and you see two reefs which is remarkable. One was perfect for fish and we saw a small reef shark and a ray. So many fish and some large pilot ones as well. The other reef was better for corals and fans and was just as perfect. My one complaint was the food. It was... More
