About
Just upstream from the Story Bridge, the Brisbane Jazz Club sits on the river with wonderful views across to the city. Brisbane's best kept secret, the club operates every Thursday to Sunday night and a brunch on the last Sunday of every month. If you feel like having dinner, the Story Bridge Hotel chefs will cook your meal and serve it to you at your table or if you prefer, you can have a drink or a meal on our wonderful deck overlooking the water. There is also a free ferry next to the club which operates every 15 minutes between the Jazz Club and Eagle Street in the city. Brisbane Jazz Club turned 45 years old in 2017 which is testament to the success of this 'not for profit' organisation.

What a fabulous jazz club on the river. Fantastic music!
Great service, very talented musicians. I highly recommend supporting these musicians and going along. Check food options first as they only had pizza on the night I went, as they are only just rebuilding their business again after the major flood damage. Awesome deck outside on the river too. Would be great for a day session.
Great job guys!!

A great Sunday afternoon - left it too late for inside - so seats outside - But what a gorgeous afternoon by the river listening to Angela and her band . Vocals balance was alittle bit too much compared to Instruments But balance got better - new outdoor speakers are on the way I am led to believe. But Drinks, cheese platter by the River with Good music what else can you ask for

We spontaneously thought to go to the Brisbane Jazz Club and what a little gem this is right on the River with an amazing view of the CBD. We bought tickets last minute but were able to get fantastic seats up close but really all the seated tables are close and have a great view. We ordered tasty food and drink for a very reasonable price and we were able to catch the Free City Hopper Ferry back to our accomodation.

We aren’t really Jazz People, but the 18 member Brisbane Big Band were excellent as was Don the visiting Italian vocalist and piano accordion player - quite the crooner. We had a great night.
Prices were quite good, the paid and volunteer staff were great and the food (we did the tapas) was very good

What a wonderful venue. The music was superb and entertainment great.
The atmosphere is very cosy. Inexpensive meals and drinks. Limited range for vegetarians or those with special dietary requirements, but I'm sure if you contacted them they would find a way to meet any dietary needs.

Hubby and I and friends have been here 5 times and love coming back. The music is live and high quality and the room is full of people who appreciate great music. make sure you book ahead and that way you can check out the band on the night you go. You can order food there [a bit expensive] or eat earlier at other places which we usually do. There is a well stocked bar and you can also hang out on the deck overlooking the Brisbane river to relax too. It won't be appreciated if you talk too much while the band play but they will be so good you won't want to!

The venue's always been great, but musicians will vary, as trying to provide so many gigs per week. What was more a disappointment was the food lacked flavour and was average, so 2nd night I ate before I went.

I'm sorry to hear that the food was a disappointment. The Story Bridge Hotel come to us and cook on any of our opening nights. I will pass your comment onto them.

Great night out. Always very good jazz - traditional, modern, world jazz. A variety of Australian musicians of a range of ages performing. The musicians are amazing, professionals and love what they are doing. The Story Bridge have a kitchen here with light meals, main meals and desserts which are good and reasonable priced with professional service. The club is run by professional staff and volunteers, you will be treated like a friend here. The bar has a good selection and well priced. Book tickets online at very reasonable prices for live entertainment. Great views of the city. Easy to get to via cityhop ferry from the city across the river. Go as a tourist, get friends and go or just go for a good night out to support a live music venue.

It was our first time here but we were treated like old friends returning. The place is run by volunteers and exudes the pride of the aficionado. In visiting the venue you also get introduced to a nice part of Brisbane on the river side. Well worth a visit

Brisbane Jazz Club sits on the banks of the Brisbane River and is easy to get to.
All kinds of Jazz is played here and never disappoints. Booking seats is available on line and it is run by volunteers.
The food comes from a local pub and there is a small but good choice.
We love coming here with friends or just on our own. The club opens early and is closed by ten pm, a boon if you have work the next day.
A hidden treasure, that is not hidden.
