Lots to see and a whole ship to explore!

Lots of different things to see and look at. Very interactive for kids and informative for adults. Crawling all over the navy ship in the dry dock is a real treat.

This site is really worth a visit and is great value to see one of the last remaining Frigates used in WW2 and Vietnam. This is an amazing opportunity to see how the sailors lived and the conditions they worked in. There is so much to see give yourself a good few hours . well done to all those that... More

Thoroughly enjoyed clambering over the 'Diamantina' and chatting to the folk responsible for keeping this maritime museum ticking over. We organised a tour of the outside exhibits by one of these people who gave us some wonderful insights into life on the high seas! There was also plenty of static examples of all aspects of bygone seafaring history in the... More

We had quite a few hours wandering through the Maritime Museum looking at the extensive exhibition of old maritime artifacts, and reading all the information. We would recommend this for anyone. We went there on the CityCat which was very convenient.

Well laid out an maintained smallish maritime museum. Good range of exhibits, ranging from warships to private yachts. Worth and hour or two But . . . don't bother with the audio tour - this is a complete farce. The first audio box we tried would only broadcast one word in three, the second one id not work at all... Had to give it a go as we were there - some nice views of the city lit up at night but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it

We were at the Queensland Maritime Museum a few weeks back as part of our time in Brisbane, it is a wonderful museum with lots of documents, pictures and artifacts that you can peruse as well info about hundreds of shipwrecks that happened (and possibly are still happening) along the Great Barrier Reef. The ships they have to tour in... More
