We had dinner here on our last night in Brisbane. We sat on the patio and our server had tables carefully placed to use social distancing. He was very kind and we enjoyed our meal as much as our conversation with him. The lamb appetizers were mouth watering. Fantastic wine menu.

We have been here before but not for a couple of years and I am pleased to say nothing has changed, the service was spot on, the food excellent and the views will never change. The occasion was a birthday treat and we picked the set menu of two courses. A glass of champagne to get the lunch off to a good start and the girls had calamari which was very succulent, I had the mushrooms which was also outstanding. For the mains I had the beef rib which the meat fell off the bone and the girls had the fish. A lovely spot for a Friday lunch on a beautiful day, I think it will be the spot for the next birthday! Would love to give the igloos a go perhaps one day.

We had our wedding reception at Customs House in June 2012 and the service was impeccable. Everything from dealing with our wedding coordinator (Rebecca) right through to the attention to detail by the staff on the night. Everything ran so smoothly and played out exactly how I had it in my mind. Not a thing was out of place!

If you are planning on any form of event at this venue, be very careful about the booking details and make certain that you are sure it is going ahead before handing over any money. We recently had to cancel a sizable event due to unforeseen family circumstances which were entirely ignored and we have lost the entire deposit of several thousand dollars!! We offered to have a separate event on another date to use up part or all the deposit however this suggestion was rejected. There was no willingness to negotiate any form of alternative arrangement of any kind which highlights the money hungry nature of the business.
We will certainly never be going back to Customs House for any event or meal of any kind.

What a TREAT from the view to the venue to the food... Was a delicious offering in the Vintage Champagne High Tea... the service is sublime ... if you want a treat consider the High tea at Customs House

If you want to see a heritage-style building, this is a great example. It is now managed by the University of Queensland and hosts conferences, meetings, weddings and events.
There is a great restaurant on the lower floor which spills out onto a courtyard overlooking the Story Bridge and Brisbane River. A more ideal setting would be hard to find.

Beautiful old copper domed building which was left to deteriorate by previous State Governments. Nearly lost to developers but now returned to its former glory thanks to University Of Queensland which now use it as function and meeting rooms and an excellent restaurant. Worth a visit.

Went with a group of friends and all enjoyed their meals; everything was fresh and well prepared. Just could not get the wines to our liking.Unfortunately, it was a battle to get a few bottles that were acceptable.

My husband & I visited the igloo at Customs House last Sunday afternoon and loved the atmosphere and relaxed vibe it had on offer. We thoroughly enjoyed all the drinks we had throughout the afternoon including the Veuve Clicquot champagne & champagne inspired cocktails! The iconic Moreton Bay bug croissant was delicious and well worth the hour wait! The waiters looked after us well and offered us complimentary drinks because of the wait on the food. On the whole a lovely afternoon spent in the igloo!
