I love the mix of old and new buildings in the area. Makes for beautiful photography. Next door is another building related to St Mary MacKillop. Downstairs is a shop to buy Catholic gifts for Confirmation etc, Gorgeous architecture and stained glass windows.

I have to visit all the churches on my travels. so this one was no exception. This church holds much the same architecture as the ones I have see In Europe.

This tiny chapel is a must. Full of history as the first church of Qld. The John Elliott statue of St Mary MacKillop is a must see.

Got married in this church and it is absolutely breathtaking to walk in and view - open most hours you just have to feel the place to know how many years it has been standing for

Spent 6 weeks in Brisbane and enjoyed 5 beautiful masses. The solemn mass was wonderful. The people attending were warm and inviting. The building/architecture was amazing as well. Thank you.

We were able to enter the old original church on an open house that we went to in October 2015. I loved how the light streamed in the high window and the sandstone walls. Although I found the carving of Mary McKillop interesting, it jarred...More

Very friendly greeters, more than happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have. They were pleased to show the growth of the actual church building. Very pretty, worth the stop.

Even if the church is in the middle of the city, masses are so solemn. Visit the Chapel of Mary McKillop.
