A nice building on the outside, worth a couple pictures, the inside is a bit disapointing. There is also a small nice chapel besides.

If you love old churches, then you will fall in love with St Stephan's Cathedral in Brisbane. The larger, newer church is beautiful while the small chapel next door is regarded as the oldest church in Queensland. Inside this chapel you will find magnificent carved, wooded statues of Mary, the mother of Jesus (pregnant - only one known to show... More

The is a magnificant old building with beautiful stained glass windows. Great, friendly priests and wonderful singing. Access is a bit difficult and poorly signposted but well worthwhile

Popped by on a Thursday mid afternoon and had mass going on. The architecture looked well preserved and there were quite a few people at mass that day.

I was just walking around the city centre and discovered this beautiful piece of architecture. Inside the church is a real place of peace. If you are not a believer that does not matter. You will find the interior of the church very interesting and calm. The area surrounding the building is well maintained and very peaceful as well. There... More

I got married in this church 26 years ago. It's beautiful. Very peaceful and can easily spend an hour looking through the cathedral and grounds. The stain glass windows are very beautiful and you don't have to be regilious to enjoy the architecture and senerity in general.

I love this church & the fact that it's squeezed between enormous high-rise buildings, but still holds its own. Very pleasing.

A quick peaceful spiritual getaway from the busy Brisbane. The church is very inviting and peaceful. Almost a walk thru time since it's been there for so long.
