On a sunny day sit outside or in a warm spot to enjoy some winter sun. Free wifi & great comfy reading areas - there is even a lounge room.

A great coffee table book section on the 2nd or 3rds floor. All books on design, so take an hour to see how playgrounds look in Europe or the history of typefaces. Great kids book area. Friendly staff. Quiet. Free. SPectacualr city vista from the windows

The State Library of Queensland (SLQ) provides reference and research services for the State of Queensland. Queensland is a very big state, second only to Western Australia is area. You can't borrow a book from the SLQ, but you can use the library for reference services. The SLQ also has inter-library loans agreements with local libraries . This is a... More

Newish building with lots of spaces ... good for research and has excellent free WI-FI. Located in the City's Arts area. Easy access from the CBD by four or bus.

The building is worth seeing, as well as the exhibits, but as a visitor from the U.S., the visit didn't take long. It is a library, after all, and the exhibits are extras. The coffee shop attached to the library is excellent. We went back for coffee more than once for both coffee and ambiance. The bush turkey wandering in... More

This is the best library I have ever been to. I got a membership so I could use the computers, the membership is free and you can use a computer for up to 3 hours a day. I did some printing here which was straight forward and easy to do. I wish there was a library like this back where... More

The State Library of Queensland tag is "All yours" - without a doubt it caters to all ages and demographics, travelers and locals alike. Particularly though, the State Library is a wonderful space for children. Without a doubt it is one of my favourite places to enjoy time with my kids. 'The Corner' is a space which fosters literacy, creativity,... More

I visited a lot of libraries in this country, but so far, Brisbane's one is my favorite one. It's a very relaxing place. It's big, free and comfy. Unlike most of libraries you have really big and large seats, you can really lay down on them. The library isn't located in an historical building, neither it has something special, except... More
