The State Library is conveniently located in the South Bank precinct, next to the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), Queensland Art Gallery and Museum. The library comprises at least four floors containing a cafe, function rooms and other facilities. I particularly enjoyed the display about "belonging" where the focus is on the people of Queensland. A number of photos spanning... More

Explore all 4 levels of the Library as there are many points of interest. We enjoyed the photo wall on the 4th floor which is in honor of our soldiers. There is also a very interesting photo gallery on this level. The current exhibition is one showing the life of young Queensland families over the decades. A visit to the... More

A bit more than just a library actually, with regular events and exhibitions. Only been here a few time, but it's a worthwhile visit.

The building is not new but seems so. It has a contemporary design and a great location overlooking the river.

Plenty of comfortable places to sit and read/research. Computer system needs to be modernised. Not always a quiet environment. Great views of the city!

After a little bit of mucking around joining the library, then getting a card and adding credit to it (for photocoping), I managed to locate what I was looking for. Would have been nice to have been told I had to do all of that before I could do any research. I got a bit of a run around. Eventually,... More
