A visit across the river tothe State Library of Queensland is worth while. During School and University time you will find lots of students diligently looking up facts from the great collection on any subject you could mention. If however you just want to spend a quiet time this is the place. Lots of interesting books to look up and... More

I can't believe I waited ten years to join this library. What a gem. There are also art exhibitions in the building.

There is not allot to do downstairs just a few magazines and newspapers and allot of tourists using the free wifi and computers. My son and I enjoyed the building expo. We went upstairs and saw some of the special sections it is hidden away and you have to use the lifts. Very quiet and not many people go there.... More

For turist, the main interest is in the architecture of the building in its modern style. If you have kids, there are some activities for them to do. Nice.

We have visited a few libraries in Australia and all have a great vibe to them. We went into the Library Store and found a lovely Aborigine mug for our collection. Super place.

A regular for my research requirements the State Library offers more than books: The Edge has modern multimedia lab, study rooms, liraries for design, business studes and local history all in a very pleasing and relaxed setting alongside the Brisbane River. Close to the Queenslans Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Conservatorium and South Bank Parlkands... More

This library has plenty to offer and is a great place to browse or sit quietly for a while. The choice of written word or audio-visual content gives plenty of scope to pick up audio books, movies or magazines.

This facility is as you would expect.. terrific! I have been to many libraries and this is an excellent example of the contemporary public library. Exceptional resources and knowledgeable staff! This library is most certainly one of Australia's best!
