Nice place for visitors to learn about the history of the Australia and New Zealand fighting forces in WWI. Lovely park with nice plantings. Quiet spot in the middle of busy downtown.

Because of the surrounds, this is a magic place for any military memorial service. The landscaping and the layout of seats, lighting along with the museum and the eternal flame.

Lovely to visit - within 10 min walk from Four Points Sheraton (hotel where I stayed). One can tell this is a revered place for Australians.

Anzac Square is located in the centre of the city not far from the train or bus station. It is a wonderful green serene space within the city area with numerous memorials located throughout. Well worth a visit

Throughout Australia, we have been impressed by the commemorative statues and buildings put up in memory of those who lost their lives in service to their country. This area commands attention, and is worth a visit when... More

Anzac Square is a pleasant and peaceful place to sit and contemplate near Central Station. It remembers the sacrifice of war gently and respectfully and is a photogenic green retreat right in the city.

Obviously a site for commemoration. Beautifully positioned within the city centre with some very iconic statues. There had been an ANZAC service just before I arrived, so there were several wreaths placed at the eternal flame. Very moving.

The city remembers the soldiers lost in World War 1. There are statues and some very unusual trees. Very clean.
