Big hotel with about 8 different areas from fine dining to beer garden, very well run, went there Sat night, prelim finals of AFL & NRL on a number of screens, place was packed, excellent service by all staff over the whole night in 3 different areas we were in , food very good quality and value, cheap drinks. Had coffee next morning in Main St Eatery again good. Take a bow management this is how hospitality can be done with big numbers.

I can here for the steak. Steak is expensive so I don’t often order it, in case it’s not done right. Here, I was not disappointed. Perfectly cooked. This is a great and very popular place.

The SBH is my local hotel / restaurant. Prior to the COVID lockdown it was a warm and welcoming place with great food ar a reasonable price. We were regulars in all of the bars. We visited this evening for a meal, and were terribly disappointed. The service was ordinary, but worse still was the menu. 8 oysters for $44! That’s Sydney prices. Tonight’s menu was limited (which is understandable) and very overpriced. Sea Legs is way better in terms of service and offerings. It’s a shame, because this used to be a wonderful place.
