Named after its prime location under the iconic Brisbane landmark, Story Bridge Hotel is the ultimate destination for a day or evening out. With several entertainment areas including restaurants, bars and chilled outdoor dining spaces, the Hotel offers a spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner, a casual lunch or some refreshing drinks. Catering for the diverse tastes of our customers, our menus boast everything from traditional Aussie flavours to contemporary European-inspired dishes, using fresh, seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. We’re thrilled that the hotel is currently undergoing some exciting restorations and renovations from early to mid-2022! While the western side of the hotel takes shape with the Deery’s Restaurant refurbishment, a brand NEW Corner Bar and upgrades to the Outback Bar, The Shelter will be business as per usual. It’s all happening under the Bridge!

The SBH is my local hotel / restaurant. Prior to the COVID lockdown it was a warm and welcoming place with great food ar a reasonable price. We were regulars in all of the bars. We visited this evening for a meal, and were terribly disappointed. The service was ordinary, but worse still was the menu. 8 oysters for $44! That’s Sydney prices. Tonight’s menu was limited (which is understandable) and very overpriced.
Sea Legs is way better in terms of service and offerings.
It’s a shame, because this used to be a wonderful place.

Big hotel with about 8 different areas from fine dining to beer garden, very well run, went there Sat night, prelim finals of AFL & NRL on a number of screens, place was packed, excellent service by all staff over the whole night in 3 different areas we were in , food very good quality and value, cheap drinks. Had coffee next morning in Main St Eatery again good. Take a bow management this is how hospitality can be done with big numbers.

Went here for lunch on a Friday with family, it was the week before Christmas and it was busy but our experience was terrible. We were a group of five, two of our meals came out then meals came out to other tables around us but we didn’t get our other meals. Then eventually two more meals came out after about 20 minutes. Then another 15 minutes before the final meal was brought out. When we chased the meals up with staff they just said, they were coming. When we ordered and paid for the meals, all together, we were not advised that there would be a delay or that the meals would come out 20 minutes apart. So disappointing. Also, the food was average and disappointing. I ordered the barramundi and chips - the fish batter was really greasy and was served on top of the chips and side salad which made the whole meal greasy and unpleasant.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Story Bridge hotel in Brisbane.
The place was buzzing, great service for a pub and the steak cooked perfectly rare was excellent and great sauce not made from a box. Good value and table service not queuing like a cantine.

My hubby & I stopped in here spontaneously on Friday night hoping to find a table and quick meal. Although it was packed out (and a great vibe) we managed to find a quiet table in the end room and our meals came out within 15 minutes! Absolutely beautiful wagu steak and amazing fried zucchini chips.
We went back the next morning for breakfast on the deck in the sun. Once again amazingly quick and tasty meals. I’m from the Gold Coast but we will make some special trips back just to eat at this place.

They have got three different bars. We went to the one out the back on Deakin St street and it was excellent. The staff, Doug, Ali and Naomi were really friendly and had a lot of time to just help you decide on things that didn't make you feel rushed. Took care of us really well. Particularly liked the Brick Lane - One Love Pale Ale.

A popular Pub with outdoor tables on east side which we opted for ... service very good & after refreshing beers chose Calamari & the Pumpkin & Beetroot salad to share.
Brilliant choice as both dishes were extra good ... we want to replicate the salad on return home!
The two wait staff ( the Scottish lass & the cheeky guy who had us (brothers) worked out pretty quickly) were terrific.
In Brisbane for a couple of days, but this lunch in the sun, was the pick of our dining experiences!

We had an excellent first dinner out at Story Hotel. We came with no reservation at 7:30pm and got a table right away on the heated patio. The Check-in Qld code was clearly visible and sanitizer available. We ordered the salt and pepper squid entree and the schnitzel and the duck mains. Everything came out at once, but it was all delicious. Wine list was varied. Table service was good, however you could also order at the bar. We are looking forward to eating here again before we move out of Kangaroo Point!

friendly service helpful Had chicken schnitzel and added parmigiana.
Very large meal and tasted great good value for money use to eat out the back under yje bridge in the old part. I think that was the best felt the atmosphere of the surroundings felt like the old days

My partner and I ordered a hot breakfast. My meal was served cold. My partner had eggs and bacon, but the bacon was not rashers but rectangular fingers of fatty gristle. It hardly resembled bacon at all and was not pleasant. The bill came to $62 for two meals and two hot drinks. The manager did apologise for our breakfast, but no meaningful concession was made for this expensive ordeal.
