This used to be a lovely place to visit - took a visitor there on Sunday (21 Oct 2018) and it was awful. A few miserable looking reptiles and that's it. When I paid, they failed to tell us the wildlife centre was under renovation....More

This quite an amazing spot, so close to the Brisbane CBD, The wildlife centre has quite an amazing variety of animals, reptiles and fish, including a large emu, several kangaroos, a wombat, and of course a pair of very active platypus, who seem to feed...More

The kids were able to dig for dinosaur bones, wander through the kangaroos, and got to see platypus, snakes, wombat and other creatures.

The place itself was quite sad if it’s the wildlife adventures you expect. Only a few kangaroos, a wallaby, and a platypus for $7 entrance fee. However, if you skip the adventure and walk down further, you’ll stumble across the Enoggera reservoir. It’s absolutely stunning...More

The grassed area behind the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre has to be one of Brisbane's best locations for a picnic. The spot is a sloped grassed area that offers people a picturesque view of the Enoggera Reservoir and the forest lining its banks. The location...More

5 stars for location and potential - 1 star for Queensland Government effort. This place is slowly going to the dogs. Half the exhibitions are now boarded up and the kangaroo area looks underpopulated with approximately 5 marsupials. There are outnumbered by the bush turkeys!...More
