We dropped in to the visitor centre when on the way to Mount Glorious and we did not regret it. The rangers were extremely helpful & informative especially when showing you around the small 'zoo' on site. It is well worth a visit just to see the indigenous animals & birds in the zoo, but on top of that there... More

With the Enogerra Reservoir for swimming, bush walks, picnics, the Visitor Centre and only approx. 10km from the city, it is excellent value. Reasonable prices. You can make a real day of it. Even my teenagers enjoy it.

A hidden gem tucked away at the back of The Gap. We went to see the small downstairs area with the snakes, lizzards and so on looking relaxed and at home. There is a talk (see website) and tour which looked interesting but we arrived late and my young daughter didn't have the sit down stamina. It was interesting -... More

Just 10km (approx) from Brisbane CBD, this is a great little place that has some local fauna on display. There is very reasonable surcharge for entry, and we had no problem pushing a pram around the centre and animal display. The animal display itself isn't massive; looking at all the animals you could do it in about 30mins. Though the... More

There isn't much here - the wildlife part is small and looks a little tired in places. There are some fantastic animals - the Quoll for instance - and the big selling point is the Platypus, which is what we came here for. However I do feel that some of the animals, though well looked after, could do with some... More

The wildlife centre is great for young kids. Nice trails to go for a run as well. Cafe opening hours aren't great so check those before attending.

This place abounds with wildlife, so its a great place to walk around with the family. The tracks through the forest are safe and you can take as much time as you like, to appreciate the bush and any animals or birds you spot along the way.

The locals know this area, but if you are a visitor you might miss it! If you want to have a taste of the Australian bush, this is a way to do it. It is a lovely bushland area, a favourite for drives, weddings, bushwalkers and picnics. A car is the best way to get there.

Wonderful place to visit to get away from the hustle and bustle. It feels like you're a million miles away from the city, but it's only about 25-30 minutes drive. And it's not too touristy. There are lovely, gentle bush walks around the lake and you can see native animals without paying an exorbitant entry fee.

This is the place we always take overseas visitors. The visitors centre is modest but informative and the staff are always very helpful. The animals in the wildlife centre include a platypus, a quoll, several pademelons, a wombat, reptile and bird species and some grey kangaroos outside. There aren't that many places to see platypuses (the David Fleahy wildlife centre... More
