I love how these parklands are basically right in the city, yet they feel like a bit of an escape from it all. I like visiting on a regular basis because the plants/looks/colours change with the seasons a little bit, but are always very well maintained. The little nearly-free train/bus isn't as good as it used to be....... there is... More

This was the site for the Expo 88 in Brisbane and has now been landscaped into attractive gardens with the trees and walkways giving a sense of more spaciousness as they wind up from Roma Street station to the Spring Hill hotels and restaurants.

Despite living in Brisbane this was my first visit here. Great gardens tucked on the city edge and fabulous photo opportunities

I head to the Roma Street Parklands everyday in my lunch hour! It's a beautifully maintained park with lush grass to lounge on, hills to walk up, paths to have a run, and plenty for the kids to do, too! I would hate to work anywhere where I didn't have access to this park. The grass and plants are wonderfully... More

An expansive well kept green space in the heart of the city. Easily accessible by public transport, right at Rome Street railway station and bus stops along Roma Street and Gregory Terrace. Plenty of areas to picnic or just stroll through and enjoy the vast open area with a wonderful array of plants and trees to enjoy.

I walked through the gardens on my way to work, it was early 7am and a refreshing way to start the day. I enjoyed the peaceful environment and calmness of the gardens. At a high point near the exit to Wickham Terrace I realised there was a view of the Brisbane river which was a lovely surprise.

A beautiful parkland with arid gardens, spacious lawn areas, children's play areas and the most stunning flower gardens. I go here for my early morning walk when working in Brisbane. It's quite hilly so good cardio workout in a beautiful setting.
