I went with my brother, and there were plenty of people here. The host was very funny, and I thoroughly enjoy it. Although it is supposed to be 18 or 21 and older, there were a few kids here. Some of the comedians weren't as...More

This place is not only a fantastic looking building, inside and out, but it also houses some amazing artists and exhibitions all year round. One of my favourite things to do at the Powerhouse is to go to 'Knockoff', a free comedy show on Friday...More

Absolutely fabulous performance. Li Cuxin is a legendary Artistic Director together this performance with Amy Hollingsworth as Creative Associate. We are so blessed to have him and his wife involved in the Ballet in Queensland. We hope they are around for many years to come.

Attend concerts, see exhibitions, participate in festivals, eat & drink in the eateries, explore the historical building, sit on the deck - great atmosphere all the time. Visit New Farm Park or walk along the river. Saturday morning markets are great for fresh food.

We recently attended a Wedding ceremony at the Brisbane Powerhouse Museum and the whole event was superbly run. It's a brilliant venue and whilst it isn't a private venue and open to the public, it's multiple level and open layout with an old industrial warehouse...More

This place is seriously cool. Well designed to make the most of the old powerhouse. Saw a great show here - live music in a space that really suited the show. Loved it.

Parking is on site but very limited. You are better off parking near New Farm Park and get early to enjoy the pleasant walk

Going to Powerhouse tonight - where to eat? (2 Replies)
Hi guys, I feel a bit ashamed asking this in my own city, but I don't usually go to New Farm area very often. I have tickets to the Bris Comedy Festival tonight at the Brisbane Powerhouse and will catch a city cat there from work. Are there any restaurants nearby (besides the one at the Powerhouse itself) to get something to eat before the show? Wouldn't really want to walk too far, as the show starts just after 7pm. Or is the restaurant there quite good? Thanks for any help :)

probably too late but Bar Alto at the Powerhouse is nice as is Bitter Suite up the road on Lamington St.
