The Sandy Pool is beautiful to do some sunbaking and cool off, the rainforest is a nice relaxing walk or a nice cool place to sit and rest those tired feet or eat some lunch, there are casual takeaways or there are many restaurants in South Parklands or Stanley St which is the street next to Southbank. You can relax... More

South Bank Parklands is definitely worth a visit whether a local or a visitor to Brisbane. There is something for everyone from the pools and beach, to the innovative Epicurious Gardens, restaurants, markets or a lovely stroll along the river.

Pack your towel and swimmers when you head here in warmer months. They pool is a great place to chill down. We often got for a dip after a long run or bring the kids down for a swim during the week. Gets packed but there's loads of places to sit and chill that are not on the sand itself.... More

It can get very busy on hot days. Always keep a close eye on your belongings and small children. So close to the... More

We often visit Southbank, either as a family get together with all the kids and grandkids around the beach and pool areas on a Saturday morning, or just as an (older) couple relaxing in the gardens on a weekday when it's not so busy. Just watching the City Cats and Ferries travelling up and down the beautiful Brisbane River while... More

The Southbank Parklands are worth a visit during the day if you have kids that like to play in the pools and water fountains. This place also works well for a night picnic on the grassy hills where you can see the city lights.
