visited on a very hot day, so shade was useful. Well set out gardens with plenty of information. Not crowded, quite good for bird watching.

W-rehearse spent an afternoon visiting this very large, beautiful, and well-maintained Brisbane treasure. It included representatives of almost every local tree and shrub native to this sub-tropical part of Australia. Among our favourites were the cactus garden, the Japanese garden, and a shade garden. To top it off, there was a series of concerts given that day at the bandstand,... More

This is a great place to visit, rich in colour and the plants of the region. In addition, on Sundays, there is a really interesting market held there which is well worth a visit.

So much to see and very well laid out. We particularly liked the Rainforest and Japanese Garden. There is plenty of shelter if it is a very hot day with drinking fountains throughout the gardens. We did have lunch in the restaurant which was not great, they had run out of a lot of things and it was still early and... More

We only live a street away from the gardens and had only stopped there to go for lunch at the cafe. Had the toasted cheese sandwich (which had a French name) and it was delicious - one of the best I've had anywhere. Then we decided to walk around the gardens and were delighted with all the twisty paths and... More
