Get there before 10am and take advantage of a circular bus tour around the gardens before you decide which area to go to afterwards...great itinerary for kids education in the planetarium. Weekly shows& exhibitions in the auditorium of art gallery. The dining facility is being renovated, so take a picnic..lots of lovely spots to enjoy it.

Such beautiful surroundings, you could spend hours here! Take a picnic, a hat, your water bottle and wear your walking shoes..... Flowers, greenery, trees, cacti, herbs, shrubs....you can just wander and absorb such gorgeous gardens or you can read and learn about everything planted in this massive parkland. I take my 3 young children and they really enjoy themselves....so much... More

The new area is great but can't beat the adventure trail for kids. Well maintained. Cafe needs a bit of a revamp but was nice anyway. Worth a few hours.
