i think what spoiled if for me was the heat and the love mosquitoes and sand flies have for me. The gardens are truly beautiful but the 'wild life' made my visit itchy to say the least. Might try a gain in the cooler months.

Very nice place if you are interested in plants. It is very nice for walking and picnic on a sunny day. The new extensions might be hot though, because of the lack of shades. I especially recommend the Japanese garden and bonsai collection.

We love taking the kids here for a walk around and to point out the different plants. We especially love the Japanese Gardens and the Tropical Dome. My kids LOVE doing the Children's Hide n Seek Trail. Its really well done for kids of all ages!

We had a lovely walk through the gardens. I was worried the kids would think it was boring but they actually liked it and enjoyed themselves. The Japanese Garden was the highlight of the walk.

I have never made it to the Toowoomba Garden Festival and felt I was missing something. So the next best thing is to visit these beautiful gardens in our city. We only had a few short hours and that included dining, not long enough at all. We were meeting our nephews who wanted to explore the kids playground. So we... More

These beautiful gardens are at the base of Mt Coot-tha. They are well kept and have wide walking paths. There is a fern house a cactus walk and a domed hot house to name a few of the special places. A large man made lake is used to help with watering the plants. I enjoy strolling around, sitting in the... More

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens is a wonderful and expansive free park meant mainly for recreation. Of course, there are a lot of plants with extensive walks and paths going to different areas including a desert zone with innumerable cacti, rainforest dome with exotic species, rose garden, fern house and many more. There also multiple lakes and even a japanese and... More

Great place to go for a walk and get away from the city. The Japanese garden is fantastic and very peaceful.

A must see! Beautiful flowers and gardens, they also have a restaurant as well and of course a planetarium which is good fun too! I absolutely loved the bonsai trees.

Apart from the lookout at the top of Mt Cootha, and the planetarium with it's programme for star-gazers, the Botanic Gardens provide hours of flowers, different with differening seasons, colour, surprise and some Aussie wildlife if you look carefully. Buses to and from the City.
