West End is an edgy place to stay with good bus and cycle options to get to Southbank and city. I recommend using the citycycle system which can cost as little as $2 a day if you use it for short trips between stations and there are plenty of stations in the inner city area. Riding in the city itself... More

West end has seen many changes, it seems every time l visit this close encounter to the city of Brisbane it has another thing added to its neighbourhood, some good improvements like the underground secure car park on Browning St. this is a definite need and one that offers cheap parking after 6pm and week ends, a great thing for... Brisbane's West End is an inner suburb. It's a quirky sort of place, with a mix of good food and alternative lifestyle shops. At night, the lively music scene keeps the rhythm going. If you like design, you are almost certain to find something you like. Thirty years ago, who would have believed stodgy old Brisbane would play host to... More

Catch a City Glider Bus from the Valley and the City to the West End and explore ..... the weekend markets in an old factory are a must. Lots of good food choices as well as the usual market stall selling arts and crafts stuff. Buskers as well ..... great to relax on a sunny day. Lots of re-generation of... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and found it a great place to have coffee, breakfast (The Burrow) lunch and dinner ( Caravanserai ). It has an ambient vibe with alternate options. At night there is always great music to be found. It's just a short walk from Southbank.

West End is a quaint suburb of Brisbane adjacent to the Southbank precinct and the Brisbane CBD, easily accessed by bus, car or ferry. Fantastic restaurants, cafes, delis and points of cultural interest. West End exudes coolness.

Lots of restaurants offering different types of food and a night market for foodies as well as another market for trinkets, etc. Eclectic and not so ordinary area, we loved it!
