Close to public transport, hadn't been before and found it a bit confusing as to what gates to enter. Plenty of food and liquor outlets inside building.

Enjoyed the game, however the seating very steep in the western stand, was not to my liking as someone who can suffer a little bit of vertigo, so asked to be moved which we were fortunately. I had not attended the stadium before so was...More

Good venue for sport and concerts, public transport is good, food and beverages are very expensive for what you get (not good value for money for the family)

I went to a Brisbane Roar game and was hugely impressed by the stadium. Not only is the inside fantastically laid out but the transport infrastructure outside was hugely impressive. Not a huge crowd at the game but I liked how it was a lot...More

Suncorp Stadium / Lang Park is a great venue to view the rectangle sports and concerts alike. Having been to many sporting events both local and international as well as the odd concert, Suncorp is definitely a great spot to enjoy all of the above....More

We did a guided tour of the stadium yesterday, with the wonderful Liz. It was just fantastic and not overwhelming at all. Liz was full of information and some very funny antidotes! We had a few children on the tour, who were obvious Bronco fanatics...More

Going to see Robbie Williams! (4 Replies)
There are 3 of us coming down from Cairns to see Robbie in December at Suncorp Stadium, just wondering if there is a central hotel someone can recommend which will be easy to get to Robbie but also easy to all the shopping as we'll be doing plenty of that too!

Suncorp Stadium is not that far from the city centre. It's only about a 20min walk from the city so you could stay in the city to shop then walk or catch the bus or train to Suncorp Stadium. There are a lot of people walking in that direction so it is safe to walk back to the hotel late at night. I work at the Box Office at the stadium when football games are on & I walk to & from the city, where I park my car.

Thanks Jacob

It's not to bad a walk, about 2.5km. First of all get a map of Brissy. There's a big intersection just up from the Meriton. The first street is Queen and then Anne Street (they merge together). Cross over the road to Boundary street and turn hard left into Turbot. Follow Turbot all the way to Roma street. Walk past the Roma street Transit centre and across Countess street. After the Fire station there's a walkway that will take you up through the Barracks and onto Caxton street. Follow Caxton...More

You can allocate 1 extra day in Hervey bay instead of Brisbane to go out whale watching. Its an excellent area to see humpbacks, if you are interested
