Can be a little bit cooler then other places especially if its windy. A bit hard to find a close-by parking spot. Good to take visitors over for picturesque photos of Brisbane and the river especially on a good visibility day.

Views at incredible on a sunny day! A single ticket from the city costs $5.60 and they don't do returns so you have to pay the same fare both ways but is only 30-40 minutes on the bus traffic dependent, you can get the 471 bus from Adelaide street which is pretty convenient. However the buses only come once and... More

We visited Mt Coot-tha lookout in the evening. The view from the top is amazing. The lights of Brisbane spread out below, makes for a breathtaking sight. The site was very busy - lots of people and not many car parks! We stayed for a warm drink and a cake at the lively cafe. Great location!

Great place to go with visitors If its cold elsewhere its colder on the mountain. Take a flask & blankets if you think you will be there for a while - especially at night The telescope machines swallow up two dollar coins in moments - bit of a rip off. Restaurant & Cafe aren't open late so grab fast food... More

This is a place where Brisbane locals like to go to unwind and take in the beautiful site of the city. Sit down and enjoy a hot chocolate or coffee, or eat at the beautiful restaurant. Not exactly cheap, and smaller portions but beautiful flavours.

I've lived in Brisbane for 26 years now and when I have visitors I never omit a visit to Mount Coot-tha Lookout. It provides gorgeous expansive views of the city and the river and beyond. I don't recommend the restaurant, though, it's quite expensive and the food and service are not quite to match, that's a personal opinion. I'd rather... More

I took my mother to Mount Coot-tha Lookout for lunch, it was a beautiful sunny day and no wind. The views are spectacular. The Café food is expensive, but good tasting. After lunch you can go for one of many walks. There is also a Restaurant, I believe the food is good, but also expensive.

It took me 28 years of being a Queenslander before I actually got up to Mount Coot-tha. Since I have been back many times. It is a great spot to take in the panoramic views of the city. Awesome during a sunrise or even a sunset with a meal and a glass of wine.
