There are many different walks around Cape Hillsborough National park, some quite steep and then the stroll along the beach. For those keen on nature, there are many different birds to see, corals on a very low tide, turtle spotting from Turtle beach and many...More

Told that a must see because of the 'wild' kangaroos & wallabies on the beach, and then told that you need to be there at dusk or dawn to see them. When we got there, the few animals were eating food supplied for them on...More

The campsite is a great place to explore the National Park. The bush walks are great fun with spectacular views of the coastline. If you rise early just before sunrise you can watch the kangaroos feeding on the beach.

If you are in the Mackay area I’d definitely check it out there. Lots of walks to do, stunning beaches and even a little place to camp and eat if you’d like to make a weekend out of it.

STUNNING beaches. Beautiful to walk along. So much to explore. The island to explore at low tide was beautiful. Even saw a sea turtle! Good fishing. My man was very happy to relax and fish all day. The walking tracks were an effort at times....More
